as long as the artists get their cuts from the press and not the distro.. which is how some bigger lables like to do it... word. feel me?

no offence, but it would seem a bit pretentious to me to have a pop at this just cos it's got a shite cover and whoever wrote the press release is illiterate. surely 'now that;'s what i call dubstep' or equivalent is a wicked thing! might make a few people happy who wouldn't otherwise be likely to get involved with any dubstep. and yeah, as long as the artists aren't getting ripped off it's a good thing for them
its like all those acid or jungle compilations you used to get in hmv... looked like they were for mongs but were somtimes sick!

I'm all for the exposure of the music as well, I just oppose the cynical way in which the large companies will attempt to market it- the company behind the compilation have something of a track record in cashing in on what they perceive to be the next best thing. Dubstep does indeed to corporate backing and marketting for it to reach mainstream audiences, but not at the expense of the integrity of the music, producers and scene.
A dubstep mix that comes in the same box as a mix of "Bass" does not, in my opinion, reflect the beauty, complexity and ethos of the music we all love.
