Yeah, and back then casual racism was the norm and beating your wife was OK. What's your point?

My point was made two posts ago. Grown men refusing to eat meat "because its murder and gross and stuff ew" are pussies, and should be treated as such.

Nah, those are tested on animals. I would never.

What about grown men who choose not to eat meat for dietary reasons?
Also, would you call the ancient gladiators pussies? Some (maybe all) were vegetarian.

Any "dietary reasons" you might have a probably based off of bullshit, but shoot. Enlighten me as to how humans aren't omnivores, please.
Also, you know gladiators were mostly slaves and common criminals who stabbed the shit out of each other or faced death, right? Not exactly on some Russel Crowe tings blood.

Some humans are omnivores, some aren't.
I would like to enlighten you but I have the feeling it would be like trying to kick water uphill.
I'm finished talking to you now.

This has got stupid.
Maybe cityzen has a point in a way though. Think some people are built for meat and others aint. I just find it impossible to be put off meat personally where as some people can go with out it for what ever reason they want. Some people just don't eat much meat anyway regardless of belief.
dunno, I'd live off the stuff alone if that was possible.

i do but most people don't because they're a dollar more
most people put it out of their minds and don't care.
I have nothing against eating meat, but I don't support the mainstream meat industry. I have never met any meat eater who only eats ethically farmed animals. People don't have the money and there's no fast food restaurants besides Chipotle (to my knowledge) that are committed to serving only humanely raised animal meat.

yeah I know I'm terrible for it. Too skint to manage it right now. It's a shame
I'm also addicted to eating Jakes burgers at 5am too....
Nice when I'm not at uni to be way out in the country side constantly and all my mates live out in weird places. One out in the woods. Wild Boar is peng!

People don't care what happens to the animals they eat because they're animals and shock tactics aren't gonna change that.
Also, I want to give a big fuck you to PETA.

because they're animals we have the right to keep them in bondage their entire existence, depriving them of the natural habitat they had for millions of years before we arrived? what gives these factory farms the right to treat sentient beings like an inanimate consumer good?

Yep. Also, you forgot egotistical and pretty ignorant. The society you enjoy today is a result of brutal, cold, mass production. You and I wouldn't be here, if it weren't for such plants.

.....the meat packing industry is the evolution of a demand for fresh meat, not the other way around.

Note how I said "people", not "I".
The fact remains that animals are not human and you can't expect them to be treated as such.
