Btw you can pick up cheap mics at pound shops. Theyre pretty awful but you can still can some nice gritty lo-fi results. Or try your mobile if it has a recorder.

Could you link me to a site? I've been looking for hours and I can't seem to find any.. mostly all girl ones that aren't relevant to what I want.

That's actually the first thing I'm doing once I have a bit of cash, along with building up a setup.

Just pitch/effect any voice, chop up samples... make your own sentences with them. As for text to speech, do a search on the forum, there's been loads linked over the years.

Male voice "Are you ready?" = Korn - Blind. Though you might catch shit for sampling another dubstep artist. :6:

Add sprintIP on AIM, message it with your phone number and the word 'male' or 'female' in the first message, depending what gender you want your samples... Itll ask you to repeat the number, then ask if this person has ever used IP relay calling before... Just say yes... Your phone will ring, and youll be given some poor, minimum wage employee who's very purpose in life is to repeat everything you type into AIM to the phone, no matter how ridiculous your text may be.

Start typing your dream samples. Be sure to include plenty of commas and exclamation points, the operators really emphasize them when you do.

Gotta love abusing the disability services. Gotta love ma bell.

if ur gonna be trying to get the track signed i suggest maybe coming up with yourself and getting it recorded somehow.. there aren't many amateurs out there that could make "ruffneck bass" work like skrillex did... i was having the same problem trying to find something for a track of mine.. ended up using Scarface clips, so it's gonna be a bootleg as to avoid getting my property siezed. which could happen especially with uncleared movie samples.. im investing in a mic and finding a friend w a studio... good luck!

Do you really think so though?

Go down through the list of classic hardcore/rave/gabba/dnb/techno ect. samples, from genres alot bigger then dubstep...

Figure EDM would be alot more sparse...

Hell, Ive never heard this ruffneck sample your talking about, but, do you hoenstly believe skrillex contacted the original producer and cleared it? Doubtful.

Every dubstep tune ever has little one off vocals that dont get cleared, yeah's n cheas and stuff...

Hell... midnight request? Probably not cleared... Cockney thug? Doubt it... Horrid Henry? Would be surprised, unless that vocal is pokes... Ect.

For those wondering where Skrillex got the "Are You Ready For The Ruffneck Bass" sample from:
http://www.primeloops.com/loops-samples ... vocals~50/
I think the stringed intro bit to Ruffneck is also a sample from there and his "True Gangster" sample is from there too I think, tbf some pretty nice samples judging by the preview.

Just out of curiosity were do you guys get your vocal samples from. I struggle to find packs with a range of different voices and its usually just the same male voice over and over saying 100 different things.

Share good packs or links, I highly appreciate it :D

Thanks!
