Stone brews are all very good, Arrogant Bastard is one of my favorite go to beers. Their Ruination IPA is also one of the hoppiest(and best) IPA's you will ever have.

The bite completely dies but those citrusy simcoe hops become really bright. Tastes completely different. Doesnt even have to be a year. Do it for 6 months. See what happens.
Its 8% abv which I would never age something under 10, especially an IPA. But, this one was super good.
alright then, i'll give it a go :w: i doubt any amount of time could possibly make RR brews taste bad.

Yeah this. It would be better if they changed designs I think, but it's a bit iconic.
IMO Stella is viewed highly by some people because of good marketing, the "exotic" name, and being an import. I think it's overpriced for what it is.

For go-to cheap beer though, besides ones already mentioned, Spoetzl Brewing Co out of Texas (Shiner) does some very decent beer that is reasonably priced. Some great micros come from Tx as it is home to a large amount of German settlements. I really like Shiner Black, a nice Bohemian black lager. They also do a pretty nice Bavarian wheat named simply Hefeweizen. They do some exotic seasonal brews too, always like picking those up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoetzl_Brewery

ruination is better than arrogant, but really arrogant is much more reasonable to buy on the regular, price wise

My favourite on tap at the moment is a Radgie Gadgie (yes its real http://www.morduebrewery.com/beers/beer.php?beers_id=10) if you can find it; its totally worth a pint! Doubt you could find it in America though, its a very small brewery.

If you want something to drink what doesn't give you a hang over - I usually get on the alcoholic ginger beers; Hollows is fantastic (dunno if you can get it over there though) its not very sweet but not bitter at all; its a nice beer-equivalent!

Ginger Joe or Crabbies are good too, I prefer a Crabbies out of those two. Deffo worth trying out for a night at least!

Agreed. What's with the added lime too? As if a twist of lime on the side wasn't enough, now they've stuck lime taste inside the bottles at the brewery.

I'd say this is marketing in its purest form as well. Just like how Bud Light is insanely popular, yet tastes like someone spilled their piss test cup inside your glass of water.

The darker the bottle the better. Also, if it's packaged in packs, making the case oversized helps too, so light doesn't make it in. Doesn't help with single bottles obviously. I've noticed Heineken cans have a similar taste, just not as strong.

Warm Heineken is the worst. Better drink that shit fast while it's still cold.

I'd rather drink a warm Pabst...

Every time I visit my friends in Belgium, I am the Belgian beer elitist and tell them to get some decent Blonde de Noel when it's the season and lay off the pisswater that is Stella. >.>

Edit: The south of the Netherlands has some greaat beers as well. Slobberbok is mad tasty.

Anyone have any opinions on the Dogfish Head Brewery beers?
I have watched the Brew Masters on Discovery and always wondered what their beer was like.
