Fucking hate how patronising advertising is, it seems to get constantly worse. When I'm sitting there seeing some fucking parody song about car insurance set to the YMCA music, I just think of some smug fucking bellend sitting in a boardroom getting patted on the back for being a marketing "genius," the worse part being that he probably genuinely believes that he is.
Why the fuck would I want to buy any of you products if your adverts are pretty much you indirectly telling me how much of a impressionable simpleton you think I am?
It's weetabix for fucks sake, it's dried wheat you eat for breakfast. Just tell me it tastes nice and I should try eating it for breakfast and then stfu.

its a genius piece of advertising for lots of reasons, but patronising it's not.

this advert is aimed at kids who haven't even hit their teens yet
its not exactly shocking that no one on this board will be WHOA THATS AMAZINGLY COOL THANKS WEETABIX, nor is it surprising that Weetabix didn't choose to roll with the latest Hot Flush release to market their cereal....

but
the tune isn't THAT bad.
its really not.

That was pointless. Every kid in the UK already knows that Weetabix is absolute shit.
And that tune sounded like Gemini. Fucking awful

Can't imagine Kode 9 selling cameras. Telescopes, yes. Cameras, no.
I'd buy a telescope off Kode 9. He seems like he'd know about that sort of thing.

Is this going to end up as a "things that we would buy off certain producers" thread? It was inevitable really, a long time coming.
