Yeah, I was watching last night and while his comment was unprofessional, I think some people in here are being a bit too sensitive. Sure, what he said was wrong and he should know better than to project himself in that way, but you also have to consider the circumstances and understand that he probably didn't mean anything by it. It's not like he rambled on and on about it; it probably just slipped as he'd probably had a bit to drink. Regardless, I don't think this will affect his success much.

In vino veritas. The wasted excuse doesn't wash with me.

I was there but I was pretty wrecked at the time, had forgotten about this til now. I do remember thinking a bit like "wait... what did he say?" when he came out with that, did sour the mood a bit which was a shame cos he was making a lot of people laugh before with the "we hate brosteppp" thing. I don't know. It was a fairly idiotic comment for him to make and I can understand if it offended people. I'm not gonna stop listening to Kromestar or anything stupid cos of that though, if I stopped listening to music made by people with opinions I disagreed with I'd have to get rid of half the music I listen to lol. The rest of his set was fantastic, just a shame about him saying stuff like that.

Bit off topic but one of the tunes Kromestar dropped was a vocal one, again was quite wrecked so can't remember the lyrics exactly but it had something to do with Moses and Jesus in the lyrics and sounded amazing, would anyone be able to ID this tune for me?

I only heard it on the stream, but it just seemed such an odd thing to say after the I hate brostep thing which felt like a major dig at Mensah who'd played the set before. I suspect he was just out of it, rather than there being any major malice in it; after all, if he wants to sour the atmosphere when he plays with comments like that it's up to him.

If he stated 'I hate black people' he would have no support, and few people, if anyone, would be jumping to defend him. I don't see why it should be any different with what he actually said. I feel like some of you may be homophobic yourself, if you are so quick to defend him. I love Kromestar's music, but I will not being playing out any of his beats anymore.
nah thread would be full up of uncle toms and apologists pointing out 'well he didn't say he hates them'

I don't really get why that's a problem tbh. So what, he hates gays.. Most people in the United Kingdom hate Indians. That's is own thing to come to terms with..

It is. You may not like it. But whining about it on DSF won't change his view if he's homophobic. It's sad, but that's his own battle.

Its a dumb comment to make. Not making excuses for him, but I know he is from my area, and the term ''Gay'' is used for alot of things in a negative way. For example if something somebody does is rubbish, somebody could class their actions as ''gay'' as a pass off comment. Im not 100% sure he specifically meant he hated homosexual people. I wasnt there and havent heard it, but thats just my opinion.
