I'm sorry but I've just tried relistening to this stuff to give it a second chance but he is so weak on the mic that I really don't know where all this praise is coming from. Plus every bar is "n1gger this n1gger that....", his flow is really sub par and he never really bothers with any complicated multis and his voice is just yuck. If you have a yuck voice you better bring the style in the delivery but its just whack from start to finish.
The beats have nothing on producers like Thomax. Absolutely nothing.

I love the beat on Bass and Palace, Clams Casino's a pretty sick producer imo

They stopped the show to tell people to fuck off and someone threw a bottle again and the entire crew ran into the crowd laying assholes out. ASAP was actually cool about it at first but when the last person threw a bottle it went off.
Was fun to see

It's a free-release mixtape, so I doubt it's been through as much post-production as it could be; but you're wrong and a grotesquely ugly freak. That tune is fucking FIYAH.

ASAP Rocky is sick, it's a proper case of style over substance but it's so enjoyable. His ear for beats is amazing, as already said, Palace is just a monumental beat.
Goldie wasn't as good as many of the tracks on his mixtape, but having a Hit-Boy beat for your "first" single is not a bad look at all.
I like the Huston influences too, so laid back. I have high hopes for his album

I think this is the main thing that sets him apart cos nowadays almost all gangsta rappers are aiming to make the hardest trap shit ever while Rocky takes a different approach

Opinion respected.
Gave some other Asap vocals a try.. and I must admit Palace is by far my least favourite.
Kissin' Pink works!
More into bits from Celph Titled, El-p, Killer Mike, Jedi Mind etc...
This hits hard:
This guy has a great sound:

I might see him at osheaga in Montreal. Trying to decide if I'd rather see him or Brand New. I'll probably lean towards Brand New given that I've been listening to them a lot longer than ASAP, but it'll probably be a game time decision.
