, the tune is actually called 'New Dawn' but because the first time I uploaded it to soundcloud I uploaded it as 'temp' it always keeps that in its website address even thou on Soundcloud it will say 'New Dawn' over the track.

I couldn't even get my brain to decipher the word box after making this track. Made using all found sounds.

See people talking about getting darker... In my opinion that isn't really taking a step out of the box. Taking a step out of the box was KOAN sounds Funk Blaster E.P what for me has been the biggest breath of fresh air in the scene (even if it isn't strictly dubstep) for a long long time. Really has inspired me to try something different and I really am enjoying it a damn site more than I was making either dark and gritty dubstep or upfront dubpolice dance floor dubstep.

First time I've truly been able to feel like I am writing music without restraint, which I know I shouldn't have been doing anyway but mehhhh.

I said I shouldnt have been making music with restraint in the first place.... Its just something about a whole new fresh genre which you don't have much experience with, it feels like your not sticking to other peoples rules and making them yourself.

Ah yeah, sorry, misunderstood what you said. yeah man, def. I mean, it's pretty damn hard to create a completely new genre altogether, as someone said before, these things tend to evolve rather than be created, but in the mean time, it's not about "how do I sound like this person or this person." Don't get me wrong, I look up tutorials on how sounds are made, to get ideas, but never to recreate something exactly as heard.

Taking anything further than it already is, darker, faster, whatever, is taking a step further into the box, not out of it, I dunno, I think it's all about just creating new vibes, like that's what Quasar was about for me, as for the screechy bits, what bit in particular?
