best album had to be author, i mean come on that was one silky smooth lp, or maybe that sully album that was pretty sick, damu unity aswell, author just has to take all the awards, the way the implemented the brass into it, every track had something special about it not had a album like that for a while

Kryptic Minds - Can't Sleep
Tes La Rok - Them
FaltyDL - You Stand Uncertain
Author - Author

Waiting for the Kode9 & The Spaceape album to sink in properly (I mean I really liked it but I can tell it's not been comprehended properly yet... there's always that special train journey where a piece of music finally clicks).

And if we're veering out of dubstep...

Deepchord - Hash-Bar Loops
Loxy & Resound - Burning Shadows
Federsen - Echo Relics

Some of the tunes from Resoe's "The Black Void of Space" were incredibly special as well (thinking particularly of Dubcuttin' - track captures perfectly for me that clarity when summer starts to tire and the sun shines without the haze).

It's funny Swarms' Old Rave's End got quite a bit of love when it came out but don't think it's had a mention in this thread. It's a good, coherent album - a bit different and those 5 extra tracks on the Kickstarter CD version were definitely a bonus. Plus the fact that for about 6 quid you got it with free shipping anywhere in the world and an immediate download, can't go wrong really. :Q: LoDubs.

I have been resisting the Damu LP based on what I heard of the previews but maybe I'll have to give it a chance. Keysound still got my vote for label of the year because of the LV and Sully albums.

Shifting up a few BPMs, I've been enjoying Consequence's Test Dream too, but it maybe came a bit late in the year to get featured on many lists for 2011.

What did everyone think of the new Icicle LP? I haven't heard it yet.

Being honest I went off that one pretty quickly. I mean they're all great tunes no question, but for me Instra:mental never topped the Sepia Tones EP. That one was just shockingly good.

truth here, that EP was grand. (though there was still the odd great single after)

So thats about three tracks per cd, im not going to buy that just to skip to the few decent tracks on it. Total cash in once again from MOS. Plus its not an album anyway lol.

This is an interesting piece of music. On a side note those are the numbers of my home address :cornlol:
I really hated Jamie Woon's record, to the point where I almost hate him as a person. I think Kuedo's Fact mix is really sick. Much more aggressive and diverse than Severant, his album. I couldn't get with Roly Porter's solo stuff because it was too much like Haxan Cloak without being as good. Glass Swords will wear out, trust me when I say that it is not 2011's "Discovery" as it keeps getting compared to. It's good but it ain't do good you can sell 2 mediocre records and whack Tron Soundtrack just off the legacy hype.
For me The Weeknd only put out HoB.
Take Care made me fall in love with Drake, Rick Ross, Just Blaze, AND Rihanna
James Blake was a great record and everyone is going to feel so bad because they gave him so much crap if he dies in a plane crash or something Also I like Enough Thunder
Just today have I started to enjoy Cosmin TRG
