+1
+2 on Alchemy. Stunning sound from it but can be somewhat CPU intensive so be prepared to bounce stuff to audio.
Also, Rob Papen "Blue". My workhorse. My go to synth in nearly every track. I find it wonderfully easy to use and very intuitive. Look it up

I'm always surprised I don't hear more people talk about Blue or Predator...hear enough about Albino (which is great), but I like those two more from the times I've used them (Predator because I prefer the sound of it, and Blue because it's one of the easiest synths to program in my experience).

I bought Predator a long time ago, but never got around to properly learning it. Might have to get on that I think...

It's a bit more limited than Blue or Albino, but in my opinion it sounds a lot better...then again I'm into the virtual analog sound a lot more than crazy modulated stuff. But for me, it's VERY easy to make good sounding, usable sounds with it.

I really don't like the interface of Predator. I tried it for a short period but if you worked with synths like Massive and Zebra before you will get annoyed by the design.

blue > predator. i've never understood why people like it so much, i can get much better sounds 10x faster with blue/massive/operator/alchemy.
not that it's a terrible synth, or even bad, just not as good as blue.
then again, I have an access virus - so my view on va synths may be a bit skewed (call me an idiot and ignore me if predator isn't va).
