errr, how is that at all related to keynes?Hircine wrote: Military keynesianism and colonialism, yo.
Military keynesianism is the concept that the United States relies on waging war as a form of keeping their economy flowing. Search around or in politic economy books. Colonialism is due to the fact that the whole Europe relied on the slaughter and enslavement of whole populations in order to grow to what it is today. They shattered tribes in Africa in order to guarantee civil wars, funded the Paraguay War, armed both sides in the islamic revolutions et coetera, the list goes on man.AllNightDayDream wrote:Beyond fucked up. Stupid waste of money too.

FTFY: Freidmanism is the term you're looking for -named after Milton Friedman- the US economist credited with the invention of Reaganite economics and general contemporary US economic and foreign policy, see herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shock_DoctrineHircine wrote:Military Freidmanism is the concept that the United States relies on waging war as a form of keeping their economy flowing. Keynes -as far as I know- was the guy who introduced loads of mixed economy stuff in the 1920's to the US: public services etc. following a similar model to the social democracies in scandanavia and so on.

that's a slightly odd definition in wikipedia. whose accusation? keyesianism is (roughly) using government spending to get the economy going. if you do it with military spending, it's military keynesianism. nothing to do with whether keynes advocated military keynesianism (he didn't, as stated).Hircine wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_Keynesianism
It's not a theory or doctrine of his, it's an accusation.
