this again
just so you know to op i have 1 to 8 digitally as they were available on bleep when they came out
but im not going to send them to you as i paid for them digitally at a time mala and coki allowed their music to be presented in that medium
ive got all the 12s except for 1,2 and AWD
Out of interest would you see it as wrong to rip a digital copy for yourself if you owned the vinyl of a DMZ recording?
why should it be wrong, if you have bought the vinyl and then rip it just for yourself like no one else is gonna get that rip, you have bought the vinyl, you can do whatever the fuck you want with it.

they have releases on tectonic & soul jazz that you can purchase legally.
tectonic ones are everywhere but i think you need to go thru the SOTU site for teh soul jazz licks...

What about if you played that rip out in a DJ set though if you were mixing with serato for example?

I'm curious about why you think this is even questionable?

yeah, like 1) you have bought the record, and you ripped it yourself so that you dont have to lug vinyl around with you whenever you play and 2) if its serato and you were really worried about getting hate for playing a digital rip of your own DMZ record, why not just play the actual record?

Mostly because it's not playing the tunes as Mala, Coki & Loefah have intended them to be played if they're releasing them vinyl only. Only a hypothetical question, I don't personally have an issue but wondered if there were any people who did.
