Family Guy or The Simpsons?

I love Family Guy, the humor is more sort of side splitting funny than the Simpsons, but the Simpsons...I don't know there's just something about it, it's really ENTERTAINING.

I'd probably go with Family Guy.

And @Wub - I disagree, I find that Family Guy is a whole lot funnier than American Dad or the Cleveland Show.

Dont think ive ever watched an episode if Family Guy that was side splittingly funny.

The Simpsons overall wins hads down. People have gotten bored of it the last few years but its been on since 89! I remember everyone was praising Family Guy when it came it more so coz they were bored of the Simpons and it was a new cartoon series that was funny.

But in no time Family Guy has gotten very boring. They borrowd an awful lot of stories from the Simpons and i hate when they drag things on, like when Peter fell and hurt his knee, it went on and on and wasnt funny to begin with. Its the same humour in most of the seriers.

Another thing i love about the Simpons is all th characters, theres literally loads who are hilarious whereas theres only really a handful of characters that are funny in Family Guy. And the race thing is really boring, get over it already.

Its always been about South Park for me. Even the newer seasons.
Its like when you love something so much that it can no wrong in your eyes.

I don't think you can compare them to be honest, they are entirely different.

If I had to choose between Family Guy or The simpsons, I would go for The Simpsons.
The last few seasons of both series have been quite shitty, but Family Guy got shit a lot faster and man, The Simpsons, that show was just fucking great!
I laughed a lot with FG but The Simpsons had some things that FG missed; for instance more good stories and more jokes you actually need to think about.

At the moment, American Dad > Family guy and Futurama > The Simpsons, and Futuruma > American Dad. Also Regular Show > American Dad (gettoknow).

Oh and about South Park, yeah, couple of the last seasons weren't really all that, but the last few episodes started getting better. Curious for the new ones!

The Simpsons is great for nostalgic reasons.

Family Guy peaked around season 4 but I can still watch and enjoy it.

American Dad is brilliant.

Archer is my current favourite.

Futurama never did anything for me, maybe I have simply not seen the funny ones.

The Cleveland show is bollix.

South Park had its moments but it feel tired to me.

South park was pretty golden for a time.
American Dad is really funny. Honestly, i haven't seen an episode of that show that didn't make me bust out laughing at one point or the other.
The simpsons is a good show. I think people look for big laughs there when it's more subtle comedy, other than the obvious jokes for the kids, haha.
Futrarama is pretty much amazing. Every character was well developed and the non-funny parts are just as good as the jokes. The episode with the dog makes me cry everytime.

same goes for family guy and south park really.
well actually the last SP episode was quite nice but it is one funny episode in a sea of shit episodes.

But if I have to choose between the two, Family guy is the funniest.
But its still shit.. TV shows shouldn't be allowed to continue for more than 4-5 seasons

Regular Show and Adventure time crack me up, can't think of other cartoons that have made me laugh as much. Usually laugh out loud when it's an episode with Lumpy Space Princess.

American Dad seems to be like fine wine, it gets better with age.

Hated American Dad at first. Don't mind it too much now, though it's still not exactly great. It's at least more watchable than current family guy,

It has smart writing, the ridiculously funny bits, great voices, depth in the characters etc.. Even the episodes that
were not meant to be really funny get great reviews (like Hot Water).
Seriously don't understand why people choose South Park as their favourite.

- Jokes about shit and sex were funny when I was 10... I don't need 16 seasons of bad animation for that. When they
made the crummy style with cardboard it was cool, now it doesn't mean anything. And then they are so proud of the fact
that they produce an episode in a week as opposed to American Dad etc.. Well, at least they put some effort
into the writing and animation instead of just going with some lame gore joke and calling it social criticism.

+ Though it has: funny voice-acting and they challenge authority in a way that's quite funny sometimes.

I can't imagine I'm not 'getting' South Park.

We need more Aqua Teen Hunger Force really. Even the later episodes of that were 100 times funnier than most things on TV.

Archer is OK but it's still not fully clicked with me yet.
