Huh??? Haha... no, Im not that cheap I just posted it... Its a freebie... so maybe just to say thx to the people who took the time to answer me. And yeah he does exist

I remember an issue a friend of mine had, basically if you can prove (ie released) something first, you should get legal dibs on the name. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean the other guy will stop using the name...but should at one time a legal procedure occur you should be safe.

get him to put LDN on the end of his name, boom, sorted

Kill his whole family and cut his pets two front legs off. Leave him alive though, this way he has to go through his life with no relatives, and the torturous thoughts of their passing.

Not to mention he'll continue to have to live with a cat whose face is always rubbing the ground, because it's ass is always sticking up in the air due to it's front legs being removed.

no, not really man. I'd say "this is a free country" but I'm from USA and i honestly don't know quite how free a country yours is. But by and large, we live in a free world and that's not violating your rights (unless/until you make a successful claim for the title).

I think Starkey just got his name licensed like a month ago

Tbh if you're making music under I.Dot and didn't get the soundcloud name its your own fault someone else took it. I assume he doesn't know you and didn't mean to copy your name. Even if you wasn't going to use it why didn't you register the soundcloud? 5 or 6 years of making music under that alias and you didn't think of taking the soundcloud name to avoid issues like this?!

The only thing you can do is be a better producer, make a soundcloud like 'dj i.dot' or something. If your soundcloud becomes a lot more popular than his it'll come up before his in any search anyway.

Yeah, been using my old drum&bass name for my soundcloud. Didnt know I could change the URL, so i just kept using it.
Couldnt imagine a "dubstep-buddy" being so bold (hope thats the right term)... I mean if somebody would represent an other style of music, I really wouldnt care.
