Project EX wrote:Eat Bass wrote:im in for sure. i do have a question though. can i find some samples id like to use before the 48 hrs start? obviously i wont process them or construct them in anyway but can i just collect some vocal samples and such that i would like to use on the tune. not talking about drum samples just like random vocals from a movie and or game etc? i just have a bad habit of taking forever to pick vocal/atmospheric samples. sometimes i spend a full week just picking a few samples because i realize so many dont work. if not then im still in, ill just use less samples and be less picky. but yeah...
Yeah building your sample library is cool. But yeah try not to pick all sounds for your tune prior the start. The challenge is about fast workflow, which also includes making decisions on the spot about the whole tune really

alrighty then ill just pick a main vocal or a main sound that i think i want the theme to be and leave it at that. sometimes thats a long process for me and i end up changing themes of the song. so ill just have a theme in mind and a vocal or what have you to start with and work from there.
