thanks
Both Dream and Redlight are terrible IMO.

Route 94 is okay, a watered down version of what Bashmore, Mosca, Disclosure etc are doing.

You guys talk a hell of a lot of shit.

Played with Dream before a few years ago, met him on many occasions when I used to work for the under 18 ting Under The Radar.

Lovely kid. All the best to him.

Tell you why, window, and too deep are fucking tunes. Too many pretentious chin strokers in this thread.

I really can't take Lye Form seriously... He joined the forum in March and 90% of his posts are taking the piss posts in the Brostep Part Deux thread...

It's almost like he only discovered the House sub section last week and he's already an expert on Night Slugs and Bristol bass?????

Route 94 also sounds nothing whatsoever like Disclosure...

What also makes me laugh is if someone like Objekt had come out with this tune (the percussion particularly), everyone would be jizzing their pants, but because it's some 20 year old brostep kid, everyone turns their noses up...

Lighten up.

The guy primarily was into that dubstep sound, but now he's branching out and EXPERIMENTING and TRYING NEW THINGS... Shouldn't we be applauding him for that... Isn't that what life is all about?

Funny that he's "experimenting" by making the musicical genre that is hot and trendy right now. How unique and adventurous, Route 94 is truly crossing boundaries. This guy's music is so fucking experimental he should be signed to Ostgut Ton

Edit: Also Objekt should sue you for slander for comparing this cookie cutter, try-hard, maximalist garbage to the tunes he makes. disgusting

Edit2: Also what's with the "20 year old" bullshit? Are you even active in this scene? There are tons of young guns that have lots of justified hype around them (see: Paleman, Happa). The difference is they respect and understand the history & context of the music around them while this kid is literally some fucker who jumped into the scene to try and ride its popularity and get famous (the same reason he probably started making brostep). Do you think this Route 69 kid knows anything about the evolution of garage / dubstep? Do you think he even cares? Of course not. All he cares about is filling stadiums and getting a paycheck. Mark my words, the fact that these kind of people are starting to get into the scene, means its starting to die. It happened with dubstep, it will happen here.

Hahahah, how the fuck do you know that? Mad assumptions off of a song!

Also, why do you need to know about the evolution and roots of a scene to make tunes in that genre? Stupid elitist bullshit

I fail to see how it makes any difference at all whether he used to make "brostep" or whatever. I'd never even heard of him.

This tune is still really bland, boring "bass music".

Did someone really just suggest that a producer sue me for slander off of a comment on an internet forum?

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.

I'm going for a walk.

Also, I'm pretty sure Happa doesn't really have much of an understanding (compared to someone in their mid 20s, who's been following their scene for a number of years) of the history of techno music. He's 15 for christ sake. When I was 15 I was fingering girls and doing my GCSE coursework, I didn't have a clue about R&S Records or what the difference between House and Techno is.

He's making those sounds, because he thinks they sound shit fucking hot, not because he's trying to emulate his childhood idol or that he's been dreaming of adding something special to the already fantastic back catalogue of dark jacking techno in the past 20 years, lol...

Get some perspective man, go play some N64 and chill out or something.
Sounds like you've had a tough week at work.
