He's got some very odd and mixed up beliefs that's for sure. He is pretty openly racist but seems to be very anti-socialist so I don't know about Nazism... kinda clashes. He seems to be more interested in restoring Nordic religion than anything (hence church burnings) and dismantling the EU. An interesting character but pretty mental.

As someone with Scandinavian heritage, I think it's kind of funny/sad when these guys talk about "restoring the cultural purity of our people" - when all European culture but especially Northern was created by clashes between waves of immigrants going back tens of thousands of years. Neolithic Europe was host to a pretty wide range of haplotype groups competing for dominance.

I guess that's true yeah, but can't expect their ideas to be very solid or make much sense anyway. Regardless he has since stopped associating himself with nazism, I think maybe it was a prison phase lol.

innit, i still dont get why people get this mixed up. if you're politically left-winged in any way be it socialist, social democrat, communist or whatever sizan WILL hate you and you'll gladly return the favor. everything else is US-republican propaganda.

He seems to support leftist publications and such though, I remember reading about him sending prison demos to some. Anyway like I said he seems to have some mixed up weird beliefs that are all over the place.

The Guardian wrote:Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has been arrested by Czech police in connection with the 2010 death of one of the metal band's fans. The singer was charged with manslaughter two years after he allegedly pushed a man from a concert stage. He has been released on bail.

Lamb of God were due to play in Prague on Thursday, but police took Blythe into custody as soon as the band arrived in the country. Czech prosecutors allege that on 24 May 2010, the American singer clashed with a fan during their gig at Prague's Klub Abaton. He allegedly pushed the 19-year-old off the stage; the man hit the concrete floor and, 14 days later, died of injuries to his head. According to TV Nova, the autopsy found the victim was not drunk or under the influence of drugs.

On Wednesday, Prague police charged Blythe with "bodily harm of the fourth degree resulting in [death]". He faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty. The 41-year-old appeared in court, Blesk.cz reported (via Exclaim), where a judge ruled that he was a flight risk. Although Blythe will be permitted to post bail at 4m Czech korun (£130,000), he was ordered to remain in the Czech Republic.

Meanwhile, the rest of Lamb of God have returned to the United States. "Finally HOME! 4/5 of us anyway," guitarist Mark Morton wrote on Twitter. "I can't wait to give Randy a big bear hug and kiss his pointy, stubbly face!" The band's management deny the charges, saying the case is still under investigation. "Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind," wrote their publicist, Maria Ferrero. "This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head."

Formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 1990, Lamb of God are legends of southern metal. They have released seven albums and performed four times at Download festival in the UK.
I dont know what to think about this really, bit of a fucked up situation
That's ridiculous! Lamb of God aren't legends!!

varg is a fucking tnuc and a revisionist who changes his story all the time, he's basically a tnuc though

he's also the greatest musical artist that has ever lived imo. I would say Burzum is the centrepoint to my life in music and every single piece of music I like is influenced in some fashion by him.

I also love how his music is basically the metal equivalent of house or dubtechno. Just ultra repetitive no nonsense pure feeling and emotion.

he is also living proof that you should not give a fuck about the politics or lives of the artists that create music. Love music for music.

I respect German's opinions on this matter though, it's a bit closer to home. A German band my band shared a bill with once requested me to take off my Burzum shirt at a gig, I put a Joy Division tshirt on instead. I don't wanna upset no one I just love the music.
