before I was born, my parents were thinking of names.. My dad wanted to call me Orie Everetta, and my mom said, "HELLLLLLLLL no"
So they went with the very popular 'Jennifer'.

them ladies!
Had a long delirious conversation with a friend of mine some time back. Ultimately decided that Pies are kick ass whether they are fruit, cream, veggie, etc... So is the whole concept & existance of Audio and that the best pie to be had would be Audiopie. Has since been used for misc ID and whatnot.

(adjective)
1. a meter used by Sappho and named after her
2. of or relating to or characterized by homosexual relations between woman
beats...well that should not need explanation.
i was just looking for a psuedonym a few years back (usually i use dj shiva on everything, but occasionally i want a change) and came up with this one.
shiva!

this probably means i can't chuckle at people who blatantly don't get your name anymore

ROTFL. oh don't worry. chuckles will still be had...

by dutty yuppie
The yuppie part is a nod to my poncified job now I'm older and with a career, etc. The dutty part is simply an attempt to make my name a bit more credible by using some Jamaican patois and therefore placing me in a position where one could say I'm 'down'.

It's my surname, and might possibly have something to do with the DJ equipment manufacturer Stanton Magnetics.

by sinc_vision
my full name is dan james sinclair (d.j sinc) and one of my mates calls me `dr. vision-i` as i always come up with good ideas, so i just kept the vision part.
sinc vision could mean a number of things but i like to think the meaning lies somewhere between having the vision to keep things in synch (body, mind, music, whatever) and the time when you throw up in a sink.

when i was 13 i 'spooked up' a box of chocolate animals and an apple.
(that's to say i magically made them appear, and ate them, not to be confused with puked up)
thank you el-b for producing The Spooks, and naming it after me. Also Benga and Walsh for naming a town after me

by LEQ
Mine came from when I was studying Sound Engineering, was doing a project about sound pressure and came across LEQ and thought it sounded alright and there you go! ( Geeky I know )
Definition - Leq is a symbol that represents “Equivalent Continuous Noise Level”. Usually the signal that you are measuring is varying in amplitude. You can calculate the sound pressure (noise) level of an imaginary continuous signal, within a given time interval, that would produce the same energy as the fluctuating sound level that you are measuring.

Back in the early - mid 90s when I started playing out, people used to say "you look angry behind the decks, man". I think they might be right. So Furiouz it was.
