I usually try to let spiders do their thing, but how many insects is he going to be catching inside my damn monitor. I've tried sticking a pen in there to drag him out, but he won't grab on to anything. I'm probably just going to have to take it apart and relocate the guy.wormcode wrote:Another vote for leaving him be. It will eat the truly pesky insects like ants and stuff.
If you must remove it, I would just get it onto a piece of paper when you can and move it to the corner of your room.
Spiders are our friends.
Not inside I meant around. He probably comes out in the middle of the night. A few years ago I was living in this house that was above/near a quarry, with constant rattling from explosions and such. The ground was always loose so there was always insects coming up. I used to find ants on my drum machines and synths, they love electronics for some reason. Probably residual heat. Anyway the spiders would do their thing during the night and help me out. I doubt it will be laying eggs inside because of the vibrations, especially if you already found them under the desk. Anyway I know they don't like wind so compressed air might work to lure it out, along with darkness. So if you shine lights in there, it will continue to hide. You can borrow my night vision goggles.Fauster wrote:I usually try to let spiders do their thing, but how many insects is he going to be catching inside my damn monitor. I thought so too and I thought I had made peace with the spiders in my apartment until one bit me on my lower eyelid while I was sleeping.wormcode wrote:Spiders are our friends.
it's life and it has been around this planet for more time than you, babylonian. have some respect. And it's not an insect, insects are arthropodes with 3 pairs of legs and 3 body segments, while arachinids have 4 pairs of legs and only 2 body segments.OfficialDAPT wrote:Just kill it... you don't have to relocate it, it's an insect.

Did you feel the initial pain and bop yourself in the eye?mks wrote:I thought so too and I thought I had made peace with the spiders in my apartment until one bit me on my lower eyelid while I was sleeping.wormcode wrote:Spiders are our friends.
This happened like a month ago and my lower eyelid is still swollen with a small bag (like baggy eyes or whatevs) and you can still see the fang mark. And that eyelid keeps twitching.
The truce may be off.
