Yeah, maybe you can steal a copy though.

You should send'em a mail, or phonecall, if Ghost got this pretty cool deal, you might be able to have something similar, not the free upgrade, worth trying.

I got suite as a dl upgrade from live 8 already so i'm effectively paying for a box, but i figured that price is decent for the suite 9 serial.
Didn't work when i first posted the pic but just tried again and it's gone through.
Received confirmation email stating i had a new serial number licensed to my account and an invoice but the serial doesn't work as yet. At least not online, haven't tried using it to authorize another copy, not even sure how i would if i wanted to just yet.

Push actually looks pretty sexy. Might sell Maschine for it. Or hopefully they map the core functionality of it to the Launchpad.
edit:nvm they are
double edit: the only upgrade path they show for suite is 850 for live 9+push...so I'm assuming 250 for the upgrade alone...figures. Who would've thought a German company could be such Jews...

Right hand corner link there's a 49 minute abelton presentation, just watching through looking great.
got to the second section; push demonstration. Thinking of returning my apc as much as I like; save the money and get a push it looks really good.

Seriously considering buying Push. I wonder if its compatible with any other DAWs.
If I did I'd sell my MPD and Midi keyboard. Just seems logical.

thank god I didn't grab max4live last week.
this new update looks great. plus now there is no difference in content between the boxed version of suite and the regular download version, so that means that all suite owners get 55gb of sounds.

Not pumped at all. Imho this is what I would call a minor patch that you'd apply to an existing release - this is meant to be a whole new release and should bring some pretty big things. So far - very uninspired, and tbh - rather disappointed by ableton. Plugin updates are great, but are they even trying anymore? =\

You can beatbox into it ffs, you're unimpressed? What exactly would you like a daw to be able to do?

Ohhhh, you need ableton live to beatbox huh? Think you need to know what a mic and recording does my friend
I would like to see a lot more workflow improvements (they've done some with the folder/browse area). Having favourite destinations would be a good one. I have constant problems with copying automation.etc. from one track to another - only seems to work half the time (and I own a legit version, have done for a while). A revisited UI in general would be nice - still has the same crappy UI that it first came out with. Support for mp3 would be a boon - can't believe they still don't have it.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's great they're working on the next release - but considering Live 8 was released late 2009 - and we're almost 2013 - 4 years for this? What the hell have they been doing? Really... In that time we've had a number of new DAWs that really pack some modern punch, such as Reaper & Sonar X1 which take a modern approach to production. I think Ableton has been lazy, tbh.
