Decent night. Couldn't believe the queue, got there at 9.45 and didn't get in till about half 12.
Drunks in the queue were doing my head in, had some canadian tourists stood right next to me, shouting his head off about how he'd shagged his way round Europe and was now waiting for results for some STD test etc, way too much information. On the other side had to put up with drunken "this isn't a queue, its a P, heheheh". Grrr.
Also, heard the same line so many times - "i've been coming FWD for ages, i've been listening to dubstep for 2 years (!), i can't believe i have to queue with all these people who never listened to it before". I been on this thing from day dot but that dont mean jack shit, if these people are such veterans they should be on the guestlist, or at least buy tickets in advance. Dubstep not supposed to be an elitest scene. Shut ya mout and stand in the line.
Still, once we got in it was gravy, Kode 9 & Flowdan smacked it for me, NType on form, good to see Wiley again even if he was below-par, some funky beats in second room (long time i havent heard mr kirk's nightmare), plus it was a major blessing with the smoking.
Shout to the bouncer who took a baggy out of my pocket i didn't even know was in there, but let me in still. Good night all in all, bring on the next one

REPORT
Right, just got up, feeling fresh and ready for the piss!
So checked out Chef first in Room 2, absolutely tearing set, every tune a banger.
Set me up nicely to go and check N-Type and the squelch-step he loves to drop. Was definitely feeling the reloads as the whole crowd was getting hype. Highlight was the 3 reloads of Cockney thug at the end of his set.
Kode 9 after this was BIG. Dropped a nice load of sub driven bits and a dirty 4x4 section in the middle. Was good to hear a bit of MCing over some 4x4 and 2-step bits.
Tubby and Geenus were good also. Not so into the MCs but I can appreciate the energy and love that fact everyone else is so into it, as that makes you more up for it!
Saw a half an hour of Youngsta and then ducked out to avoid the dutty queues. Smashed at least a hundred quid but was well worth it. Can't believe people have said they ain't had a good night, I had a permanent gun finger for at least 3 hours and brocked out TOO HARD to Benga - 'Night'. It seems simple to me, buy your ticket in advance and don't queue! Pity I didn't meet many forum heads but I was shacking out to hard to care. Can't wait for the next one...

absolutely big night but still seemed to lack the intensity of fwd and dmz.
chef in room 2 was one of if not the best set ive ever seen at a dubstep rave. that man knows how to work a crowd
and his mixing and tune selections were sooo good.
distance was sic as well but it was a shame both him and chef only got 45 minutes. no sunshine anyone. what a tune
tune of the night tho was that remix of night played by either tubby or genius. such a good idea to change it from
boowooowooowoo to bworp bworp bworp bwip. anyone know what the fuck im talking about??

seriously. no amount of anthem bashing or +7 pitching will make up for that.

Was there, BIG NIGHT. Nuff said.
Although I think FloDan kind of spoiled Kode9's flow asking for rewinds too much!

Too much anthem bashing. Heard nights about 6 times and it got pulled up each and every time. A big frustration of the night was hearing the same songs over and over, it's just makes the tunes become boring.

Not really as good as I was hoping, thought Distance was the highlight.
I dunno the system just didn't sound nice to me, really poor clarity which spoiled some of the mixing.
I think Corsica is a more enjoyable night.
Oh yeah that Benga tune with dutty second drop - FILTH

Not enough bass, not enough volume.
Big up Distance tho, his set was dark.

kode 9 playing Chakra by James and Flowdan rolling over it -- best moment of the night for me
i almost quite enjoyed the queue - provided time to get nicely lean pre-entry - dragged on a bit though

No offence to any of the artists or promoters involved but the sound system was really distorted in the mids and trebles, bass was loud but has more weight to it at Plastic People. The emcees were hype but apart from Wiley and Flodan I couldn't really hear them too well, and bad sound engineers or a bad PA I don't know which but it really takes the piss when combined with the queues smoking area, stupid smoke machine and tiny bar, door staff were okay tho which was unusual. Good to see people still having a good time regardless of the cons tho, just took a bit more effort to lose urself than at Plastic People or Mass! The End need to fix up next time they have emcees, Wiley and Newham Generals deserve better than distorted systems or bad mic setups! , I thought Crazy D sounded really crisp and clear tho for some reason !?
The little room smacked it tho with the 2 step and Grime, nice little sound and vibe going on in there!
