I agree but theres always going to be mental illnesses that people have that aren't diagnosed or that doctors don't know how to treat. I think a fair share of the mental health budget should go towards curing or managing mental disorders involving depression and violence. This might be too futuristic but I'd like to see some kind of fingerprint or ID programming in guns. Obviously this isn't going to come along for 10 to 20 years but I think it would solve a lot of problems.

Yes it would be built into the gun but not linked to any any server or anything (for privacy issues). Obviously it isn't foolproof but I like the idea of being the only one able to use my gun. Or you could program the gun to alow other people you trust to use your gun. For example your wife or brother but yet your kids wouldn't be able to use it.
