Complete bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!incyde wrote:beatcarnival wrote: Go digital people, for the love of fucking christ, it wouldn't hurt anything to offer downloads simultaneously w/ vinyl release for those so inclined....
well man,
Yes it wouldn't hurt anything to offer downloads simultaneously... but its just another thing to worry about and manage, and i dont think a lot of labels have the extra time to do it really, especially since this digital release thing is relatively new.. its gonna take a while for people to warm up to it.
after all, they signed the tunes, so if they want to keep it to wax only then thats the way it is!! u just have to buy a record player!! theyre not that bad really, they can be your friend, and they can play your music for you in a circular fashion. its fun!
plus, having the whole deep medi catalogue ON PLATES is MUCH BETTER than having a bunch of mp3 files on your hard drive. at least for me!!!
Not sure which part youre calling bullshit but ok man, have you tried releasing things on vinyl and digital at the same time? its not simple like that. two completely different forms of distribution.Bob Crunkhouse wrote:Complete bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!incyde wrote:beatcarnival wrote: Go digital people, for the love of fucking christ, it wouldn't hurt anything to offer downloads simultaneously w/ vinyl release for those so inclined....

music is music. Vinyl is just a format, this kind of attitude is so fucking backwards. Ive said it a million times before but if you're just releasing music on vinyl, then you're limiting whos going to by it to vinyl based DJ's. I dont know many fans (i.e not dj's) who are willing to buy vinyl to record them into your computer to then put on your ipod or burn cd's with. Theres a much easier and illlegal way of getting the tunes, and if you take a look at some of these places then you realise that people who dont buy vinyl dont miss out on anything!, there just not given the oppurtunity to support the artists and labels they love. Im a big fan of vinyl but why alienate everyone else?incyde wrote:they signed the tunes, so if they want to keep it to wax only then thats the way it is!! u just have to buy a record player!! theyre not that bad really, they can be your friend, and they can play your music for you in a circular fashion. its fun!beatcarnival wrote: Go digital people, for the love of fucking christ, it wouldn't hurt anything to offer downloads simultaneously w/ vinyl release for those so inclined....
yeah, i agree that it should be available for sale on digital and vinyl.Bob Crunkhouse wrote:music is music. Vinyl is just a format, this kind of attitude is so fucking backwards. And yea were releasing vinyl and digital, we emailed Bleep, and they emailed back saying yes. Wasnt very hard. If u wanna get your stuff on all the different mp3 sites then u email them to.
sorry, i was a bit brash before but this really gets to me.
Yes. Vinyl is awesome, digital is useful, nothing anyone says will change that.incyde wrote:
anyway, we should stop this discussion cuz i think its been played out on another thread(s).
no!hopper wrote:Does anybody else think this is the worst deep medi release by quite some bit?

To an extent, buts that no reflection on the tune itself, just a reflection on the ridiculous quality of the releases so far. Rainy dayz is a beautiful track, a bit of a grower for me but thats ok... nice to have different vibes to mix up a set.Does anybody else think this is the worst deep medi release by quite some bit?
hopper wrote:Does anybody else think this is the worst deep medi release by quite some bit? I couldn't be any more unaffected by the tunes - really usual and uninteresting to me.

the irony is the real DMC was actually in the building that nightdq wrote:Matty G - DMC BeatzOry wrote: What's the tune @ 1:36? It's only on for a couple of seconds.
