Family Guy is utter shite nowadays, and has been for the last two years. It was brilliant in seasons 3-5ish though.

South Park on the whole has the largest quantity of great episodes, with Simpsons as a close second. Simpsons is no longer relevant at all though.

Boondocks had two great seasons and one semi-good season. On the whole it's quality. Characters are good for more than comedic value too.

That's season 4 though, right? Try finding a 'classic' show from any of the more recent series. Futurama has only gone from strength to strength, whereas Simpsons has deteriorated.

No! The Simpsons isn't just for kidz, there's loads of references in there that you won't pick up on unless you're an adult, so it's timeless, in a way.

Like I remember one episode where Bill Clinton ascends from the oval office and then someone says "Hey the President just got sucked out of the Oval Office!".

It was satirising the ridiculous levels of hysteria around Bill Clinton's impeachment and those who desperately proselytize him, but I totally didn't get that until I was 14.

the first simpsons are perfect and you can see the matt groening humor is present everywhere, the people who read life in hell will know, silly writers from other american series have made the las seasons look like a parody of the simpsons. i will never get tired of watching the first episodes.
