The samples are from taken from packs submitted by me & Milky from the last comp.

Only just seen this; off on holiday but might try & crack one out quickly (so to speak ).

Some of my bass/reece samples are from an EMU so the low end should be OK.

I had 75% of a track done the first day. Im just not too happy with it, so i keep tweaking it trying to make something better. Shouldn't really have any problems getting something turned in though.

Otoh, im actually really proud of myself for getting as far as i have. Seeing as i NEVER use samples (aside from percussion) ive done pretty good. Learned a lot also.

I Have built my track all the way up, and then delete over 50% of it 3 times now, and i'm about to do it for the forth time now. The only thing the same from the first version is the pattern of the snare drum, and thats about to go now

1st track: Maximal broken hipster house
2nd track: Awful 90's disco cheese
3rd track: minimal broken hipster dubstep
4th track: Not another Autechre handjob

I might submit anyone of those, or none of those.

starting ultra happy than thinking what is this shit. reworking your own shit and just hand in what you have left, realising that the first version was the best all along

Look up Qebrus, heis the master of not another Autechre handjob, in fact I think he invented it

haha i know him good stuff but i miss the get lost in space vibe of the old autechre bit like zomboy to skrillex in a more complex way

I thought you might of heard of him. you heard the latest track on his soundcloud, bit more stripped back, and has parts that sound like conventional music. Much better than the style he was making before imo, hope he does more tracks like it. Though I do love the full on intensity of his tracks, I wish he had more minimal softer parts, to make the crazy parts sound even more crazy.

I don't get how you're struggling with this tbh? I have always thought you was some kind of android. The way how you seem to always upload a few decent tracks a week, on 27 different soundcloud accounts. I find it hard to keep up with, I have no idea how you do it?

I just join DSF today and discovered this competition 2 days ago, but the pack is so cool I started working on a tune I really like now. I found really nice things to feed my favorite DAW in the pack. So nice I would keep some in my set. Is it ok ? What is the licence of the sample pack ?

Even if it won't be very nice mixed and masterized, I will submit my track, my first for such competition !

haha i rarely make new songs nowadays most of the tunes are old ideas which i try to finish of or my brother sends me sth that he wants finished. thanks though

Im not sure on the license on the the pack (or if there is one). I highly doubt that there is though, seeing as most of it sounds like someone recorded it themselves. If youre that worried about it, just ask Wub and find out who made it. I know it was someone on the forum (usually the winner of the last contest), i just dont know who.
