ras never got the respect he deserved in the scene like samiyam did imo. his beats would sound nutty on a rig. sad that I haven't seen him yet considering i'm from LA.

Big fan of the Ras G/Leaving Records/knxwledge sound, got a thread with a few links in Production;

i hadn't heard of him till i saw the recommended albums thread so i got that Seven Lies album and it just sounds like that bait bass music where its sorta a cross between all the flavours of the month
I know it's a cliche, but have you heard his older stuff? First two releases in particular (although they're probably considered dubstep) are banging. I wasn't particularly feeling his album, but those and his Mountains EP are fantastic.
Fave non-dubstep producers at the mo. Filter Dread, Epoch (if he counts), Federsen, Venture, Kid Smpl, Sam KDC.
Fave non-dubstep producers of all time. Hmm, Aphex or Basic Channel?
Basic Channel.
