Really?
Guess what synth they use for the bass in this video...

Yeah now search for Skrillex Massive Tutorial and count the results

Again you miss the point. The point was that you should stop making generalised sweeping statements about things. Not every Massive tutorial is about Skrillex, nor is every Zebra tutorial not about Skrillex. Using Zebra does not make you a better producer, it is merely a synth.

Go ahead and show me where I've said these things. You wouldn't put words in my mouth right? So you should be able to quote me on those things. Go ahead I'll wait.
Since you're being a bit thick as usual, I'll lay it out in the most deliberate terms possible.
Let's assume there's 2 new producers, P1 and P2. P1 is looking to learn all about synthesis and sound design and is looking for a flexible synth to learn and experiment with. P2 doesn't really wanna do all that shit, he's just looking to recreate what he hears on beatport with the least amount of work.
Assuming both synths are equal (which I don't agree with) in all other capacities, the deciding factor is the tutorial videos available online.
P1 does a youtube search for "Massive tutorials" and "Zebra 2 tutorials" He finds a lot of results for both that cater to sound design, although with Massive, he's gotta sift through a lot of Skrillex/Knife Party type filth bass videos, whereas with Zebra he finds some tutorials that are more centered around learning synthesis and how Zebra works. Oh look even a series of mini videos from the developer on different quirky sound design tricks with Zebra. P1 might be inclined to choose Zebra.
P2 does a search for Zebra and thinks "What the hell is all this shit? There's not even a 'How to Sound Like...' video on the first page of results! Where the name drops at? Let's try Massive... Oh there we go, step by step videos on how to copy other producers. Exactly what I want, this is the synth for me."
Not all Massive users are P2 types and vice versa for Zebra, but judging by tutorials alone, Massive is going to appeal to the paint by numbers type a lot more than Zebra. Which was the initial point I made. You know, the point you misconstrued and got indignant about as an excuse to try and argue with me? Come better prepared next time.

Sunk, you are always winning these "arguments"... come on Simulant you are bringing the weakness and just failing terribly, embarrassingly. But Sunk, you are missing some things, very important things, but none of your foils are aware/knowledgeable/experienced/smart enough to point them out.
You have a blind spot, and the boogie man is standing RIGHT THERE.

Oh I'm far from infallible, I know. I'd prefer a better sparring partner but it seems to be the same type who always argue with me. I don't learn anything new from ripping nubs. I'll concede points all day if you can express yourself reasonably. I'm arrogant but not arrogant enough to defend something that's blatantly wrong. You can do it nowaysj, be the hero Gotham needs.
Is it cause I said Zebra's better?

Oh hell no, zebra is DOOOOOOOOPE.

I won't be Gotham's hero, I look good in spandex, but it isn't my mission. I think you know my mission.
But to my larger point, there are many paths up the mountain, and many mountains for that matter. Just fucking allow it.

Yet more opinion, backed up by nothing. You are wrong - Massive just happens to be vastly more popular than Zebra.
I know you probably can't do maths once you've run out of fingers and toes, but I'll do it for you. Zebra has just over 1% of the number of tutorials that Massive has on Youtube.
Anyhow, personally I don't think that the quality of Youtube tutorials is important for a synth, but it was you that brought it up. I just wanted to point out how wrong you are. But we all know - you never actually admit that you're wrong, instead resorting to irrelevant crap and petty insults. You made an idiotic comment, I pointed it out. We now have 2 pages of nonsense. Man up and admit that you were making ignorant and prejudiced statements:
SunkLo wrote:There's plenty of tuts for Zebra. Not as many "How to sound exactly like Skrillex" hand holding sessions, but chances are if you need that you're pretty helpless either way and it won't matter what you get.

it's funny how he's still trying to argue a circle around the initial point, which was "there's not many paint by numbers 'how to sound like...' tutorials for zebra, which might be a detractor for some people but those people are knobs anyway" Go ahead and point out where that's wrong, or quote where I said what you said I said, like I asked in my previous post. If you're gonna try to defend people who are unwilling to learn and experiment with a synth and only want to make carbon copies of other tracks to make it big, then I don't even need to reply, you're making yourself look retarded just by posting. Sorry if I can only insult you now but you're not giving me much else to do.

MASSIVE. Harmor and Harmless are cool and all for simple little basses but massive is what the pros use. In all there interviews most pros say they use massive (Datsik, Skrillex, Zomboy, Getter etc.) Its the ULTIMATE VST (as well as FM8) Trust me its expensive and sure as hell not easy to learn, but the stuff you can get out of it is amazing. I PROMISE you, any other producers you ask will tell you the same thing, that Massive beats out most other plugins.
