That's great, mate. What weight are you now if you don't mind my asking, and what exercise do you do?

That's a pretty balling amount of savings, reckon you do it right you can live well for that. Have you looked into flight cost variations based on the seasons etc?
gwa wrote:also i will visit bristol in the new year!!!!
HAHAHA, yeah I need to do that as well I reckon. Added to the OP :D
yeah we worked out about 1100 in total for flights, plus in japan we'd be staying with my gfs best mate so that'll be cheap!
if we like a certain place in india we've also decided we'll volunteer at hostels so should be absolutely kosher for cash
Indias stupid cheap, we (gf and I) went for 6 weeks and spent 1K each including flights there and back.
Not sure about volunteering at hostels, from my experience they are all nearlly all family run places unless you go to a shithole like Goa (slightly hyperbolic but Goa is like Maga or some equally grotty shit english infested place)

I could go on and on about the place but If your mrs has been then she will have an idea.
Highly reccomend going to Hampi though.
Visas are like £80 now though I think? and also youll need Hep C (free?) Malaria tabs (about £20 maybe more) and because your going for ages Hep C (not cheap)

Edit: Sure thing, Its a great place, I migh tbe slightly biased as it was my first time traveling where as most people do South East Asia, but if you can survive India everywhere else becomes a joke.

Mine:
Hmm well last years was travel more, move out and get a new job.
Travelled for 3 months, got a new job and Im waiting on the start date to organise moving out.

This year:
Learn Dj/mix to a much higher standard, rather than just rellying on my eyes and traktor to do most of the work.
Go to a festival in europe now that Im out of Glastonbury
Go to Barcelona. Been talking about that shit for years, could just do Sonar and combine both goals haha
Go to more art galleries.
Need to think on some more.

Add in:
Hyper predator local guys, who are used to pissed/mushroomed up tourists walking around almost naked.
Old white tourists who come for the cheapness and complain about the lack of english/euro food
AWFUL music. I hope you like Bob Marley, the only guy to ever make dub/regga Or Goan Trance
but yeah your not far off.

Putting a quantifiable goal might help, like putting out a vinyl mix before the end of the year?

Should be doing Mutek in March if you fancy something a little sooner, lineup is slowly being revealed.

TBH, living in London there is no excuse for this one. National Portrait is hench, both Tates, and there is the Serpentine as well which has quirky shit. And they're all free BWAHAHAHA

Sorting your diet out definitely is

You don't need to take fancy supplements or join a gym if you just want to feel a bit healthier. Switch up your diet so you cut out fizzy drinks, fried food etc, cut down on drinking pints and get some exercise outside, even if it's just walking round a park for a bit at the weekend.

And drink more water. A lot more water.

Good point. Vinyl mix would be sweet actually. Just need to move on from these belt drive decks.

Yeah I saw that festival! I think If I do that it would be a real last min job, as I would have potentailly been in my new job a month
Yeah been to the Tate and a bunch of other ones a fair few times, allways make a point to go to ones in citys (Romes is sick and the national one in Dublin was cool)

Went in to the Tate randomly a few weeks back and saw some of Dan Flavins stuff who is someone my gf has been on about for years and then as Im talking about seeing a Rothko in real life, we turn a corner and there is a section of a exibition dedicated to him

These days I rarely seem to drink anything other than coke or orange juice, can't be good for the stomach..

On the plus side I've massively cut back on the amount of alcohol I drink over the last few years so my liver should be recovering nicely
