If they have gone for ever, what would happen to all the stock?

I don't know.
Anything that they had on a sale or return basis went back to the distributor I guess.
Maybe their remaining stock was auctioned off, sometimes happens when businesses go bust.

Yeah the bit about the administrators sounds about right. Always seem to charge massive fees and do a shit job.
Still gutted about chemical records, yes there are plenty of other record shops, a lot of which I used on top of chem records, but my purchase history was huge and never had any issues with them. Feel for all those who worked there.

Yeah, not going to comment on the bankruptcy side as it seems there is some info missing - specially contracts-wise.
But it's true I never had a single problem whilst ordering from them and I'm gutted I never bought "Way Mi Defend" - now it's impossible to buy.

They were my go to shop, I liked how they sold clothes and all sorts of equipment too, shame they closed down really.

'Official statement from Chemical about what drove them under. Worth noting the name Baker Tilly that features large in there - the same company handling the ST Holdings closure, which may or may not explain why none of us have received the money we're owed from last year's sales, despite being promised it would be paid in September.'
