johney and pete got my vote.

i should have thrown donkey rhubarb by aphex in at the end of my mix but i love how cowboy ends. all of those tunes i threw in that mix were part of a playlist that would go off every morning for years.

enjoyed listening to all of the mixes though! :Q: :5: :P:

Went for dfaultzr + muncey.

dfaultzr mainly for the marka tease + the mental blend @ the end (Swims vs Work Them vs Fela - Zombie??) that your blend?

Muncey's flowed nice, had a good intro + included some trip-ups (Mos Dub!) + i'm a sucker for Romare. (sort me a tracklist)

Enjoyed all the mixes: lot of aggy mornings tho! Tbh as an alarm/getting you out the house Johney's hands down but mate how did you even sit through recording that

Think this one was a bit fucky as it went from being "alarm" to "morning radio". I would've put together a much smoother mix otherwise.

You've done it for me again Munce...must be the mix of skankin' and hypnosis that gets me going in the morning.
And Dfaultz getting me out the door and off to work.

imo:

Dfaultz: Warm skanky start has me in a sunny morn, loose some blud to dubshaving & off into city grime. Arrive at work in the mall's carib florist, drink 3 coffees and fend off the street crazies doing socca.
DJoe: Tweakend's over, time to crank up for work. Brekkie from the icebox, don my motorbike leathers & get on he road to harass the public. Stop to drink absinthe with crew at game parlour, big spew, head spinning & suddenly it's midday.
Esfanydar: Wake up beside Prince & the Helium Girls. I keep sliding off the pillow & my butt hurts. Found a hole to pump but I can't see for all the incense. Who's this nude dude? Red sky in the morning...this day won't end well.
Garethom: Fuck, I wanted to sleep in. Wtf they doin' in there? Maybe it's a raid. Or a demolition. Hope the squirrels are OK. Fuck, who's knocking? I'm coming! Sheeit..my girls turned up all sparkly & tap-dancing. O for the quiet life.
Grillis: Mass murder...he's already offed Elmo & now he's after Cookie Monster. And enjoying it. Stop poking me, I'm spilling me porridge. Hey man, lie down relax. I said RELAX! Stop breaking stuff. How many uppers you take? *calls cops*
Johney: Birds & factory siren I can handle but then that fuck'n bro alarm clock! How do I turn it off. Can't hear me dealer on the phone. Ah, maybe some chipmunk dnb will help me focus...or give me a migraine.
Johoosh: This alarm clock ends. But that thump & rascally ramble has me looking forward to some ablution funk. Didn't know they played squelchy gypsy chiptunes on am radio nowdays. Think I'd rather listen to the news.
Muncey: Heavy glitchy dubby looping mash. Ah, now that I can sleep through. Up to spit, shit, snot, skank & resigned to the day. Drive through rain to join co-workers in a sesh & fall asleep at my desk thinking "man, this life ain't too bad".
Oglesmen: I've woken up in 1995 to the News ... or a sermon? Ambient sludge clears my head but the plughole's swirl makes me anxious. And the carpool's turned up with the fellas yelling at me to hurry up. Wtf. Am I having a heart attack?
Pete Bubonic: Midmorning in tha hood. Apparently it's amazing. Heads take time off setting up a community fairto form a conga line. Smiling. Just as I'm think this is OK, Sunbob turns to Spongeship...OI! OI! OI!...frantic tears and fiery grime.
Rayman612: Just as I was enjoying sweet dreams, another upsped arousal. But it's gentle and I can groove with my morning's glory. Cassette player stretching your tapes RB? Passing neighbour's dogs going off to work at the Leather Parlour.
Riddles: Now that's the way to be woken. Up to watch comet shower, pray to Jah, brush me teeth, a little piano practice & collect the crock of gold on my doorstep. Then it's time to face the real world with it's relentlessly hard heart.
Riz La Teef: Telling me you love me doesn't excuse you from doing the dishes last night. *domestic dispute ensues* With both knocked out, silence reigns and the faraway strains of UB40 and quasi-dubstep can be heard. Schizo mix.
Ultraspacial: Home from the club & up for a bit of lovin' Just loud enough so the neighbours can't hear. But she'd rather dance. Aw yeah Ok but I gotta fly soon. Only time for a light whipping? Well, if that's the way you feel, I'm outta here.

First comp had no theme iirc, so thought I'd just rep the midlands/bassline in general.

This comp started off with an alarm theme, so I went for some alarming tunes.

I like music other than Burial.
