It honestly takes no longer than 3 hours to finish a track, if that.

Hi,

I think you need to realise that making music can mash your head up if you spend too long doing it. Have a break and think about what you wanna do before you do it. If ts getting you down don't do it. Go and do something else instead and then get inspired. Your probably not doing enough in life and have no inspiration

This.

You are happy doing it, you prefer doing it. Don't worry about it. Its not like you wake up, snort coke and than go to bed. You are being productive. Flexing your creative mind. Enjoy it.

Yeah compared to say waking up watching jeremy kyle and heading back to sleep, it isn't a bad way to spend the day :D

Great thread , comforting to see the common struggle between producers . It's definately important to go out, especially if you're planning to take music seriously, because you can be making the greatest beats in the solar system, but people aren't gonna go out of their way to discover them, you have to get them out there .

The way I've been thinking about it now, if you're a music producer, the job entails more than just producing . Networking is just as important, meet people by going to shows, dancing at those shows, a smile or a 'what's up' can go a long ways . I've been going to this DJ production school in my city called Beatdrop, and man it's a fantastic environment to be in, networking really is essential, getting to know ones city sooths the soul and therefore helps da beats.

A wicked activity to get outside AND benefit your beats, I find , is: CRATE DIGGIN! Record stores are my safe haven now, I'm just at ease when I'm amongst donuts .
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

Listen, your gonna make some bangers in your life, and those won't even get noticed by anyone but yourself. the only way is to keep going and wait for the gap. If you wanna break through that is. You need to seek out the those that are breaking through, whether it is label, radio, club, and email them your stuff. Stop sitting there and worrying. Go out and do DMT. Then you realise the true meaning. Its all about creating energy. Just do it to make yourself happy.
