Hey everybody,
Thanks for the support as always. I just want to say a few words about this upcoming edition of Dub War.

I think it promises to be a really interesting and different one and I'm well excited about it. The most obvious thing is this is an all US lineup. Now we all love having the opportunity to hear the UK guys come to NYC and show us what's so special about the sound they've created. That's obviously been one of the most important things about Dub War and nobody gets more excited than I do when someone like Kode 9 or Skream comes to town.

But it has also always been really important for Dub War to be a home for US artists who are bringing their own interpretation to the sound, as well as people who don't even necessarily identify with dubstep but who are doing great music that draws from related influences.

This Friday's lineup is really exciting because everyone on it is an American doing something different but all unified by a love of BASS and DUB. Badawi is just a legend for time who's been producing heavyweight electronic dub since the early 90's (anyone remember Sub Dub?). And it's exciting that he has been inspired by what's going on in dubstep to get back to producing dancefloor material again. His collab with Kode 9 on Den of Drumz is just plain sick and hopefully a sign of things to come.
Then Moldy obviously needs no introduction, but he's continued to be one of the most unique dubstep producers in the US and his new stuff is really next level. John Ask played at the very first Dub War, and this man is just a soundboy in the truest sense. He brings the mix of dub, roots, dancehall, and whatever else that just gets the floor moving. He's playing 2 hrs this Friday (10 - 12) and it's not to be missed. Also Joe and I are both really psyched about playing because we've both been experimenting with some different things lately and I think there are some new directions starting to emerge which we're both really amped about. Personally I'm coming off the buzz of DMZ 2 weeks ago which was just sick.

Anyway bigup everyone and sorry for the long manifesto here but it's been a great pleasure continuing to be a part of this scene and getting to know so many amazing people over the past few years. I AM NOT OK!

(ps. Jua we'll miss you brother!)
