after that I went out & bought a remainder book about artistic concepts of time (for the pictures),
& listened to The Pop Group's classic "We are Time".

I am at peace with my concept of time:
things just happen, no cause or effect (they're the more limiting beliefs)
no time, just now, however unjust this
the collapse of memory and intent
as bells ring true.

the childhood idea has this problem that it would most probably keep encountering thought. it'd be the same as us trying to control thought, if we're in a mindstate where we're avoiding thought right

if only bells ever did ring true :i:

yeah, the thought/time nexus is a conniption
To think is to create time no?
and when we learn to expect thoughts
i.e. create a future
the harder it is to escape the cage of time

for me, it's a matter of not giving mind too much attention
let it be
occasionally trawl it for ideas that float to its surface
after bathyspheric cogitation & integration.

it's challenging when memories begin to be compelling

especially regrettable ones

true true

I have at times been able to cut thoughts
stop them consciously
when they were compulsive or inconvenient
even without a distracting alternative

so I know it can be done
at least if not a psychopathic condition
