Its not that bad. You still miss stuff when you go to the bar and at least you don't have to queue for a blaze. I still like to pretend even tho the drugs are really fun that its all about the music...... When I'm really mashed tho I like to go outside for a zoot to cool off, chill for 5 and have a bit of a chat.

I think its all a bit of fuss over nothing really.
Oh yea space cakes are a fuck load stronger than 10spliffs! It's all about the science kids. Melt it into butter as THC will only dissolve in fats. Then cook cakes with the butter. And you body absorbs the fat containing THC. If you just try eating you may get a bit high but no where near as much as your body cannot absorb THC alone as effectively.
Not that I've ever taken drugs. I'm just clever you see.

It's definetly not the same as it was before, that's why I never been to (for example) FWD ever since the smoking ban. All about squat parties and places with SLS. And my use of ganja is very low now, if I do - mostly at home.
Good, that it's banned in places like restaurants, bars and at work.
Only solution I can suggest is this:
Mike Strutter Smoketank

btw: next year marijuana will be upgraded from class C to class B, which will be in the same level as heroin

Surely heroin isn't going to be in B.

no it isn't, I was a bit too harsh, but still
Class B drugs
These include amphetamines such as speed and barbiturates.
People found guilty of possessing a Class B drug could go to jail for up to five years and be fined.

Yeh indeed a smoke before you head out is the go..
Never was that keen to get real blazed while out at a club, just end up wanting to sit down or bail and find a 24/7 burger joint...
I'm deff happy to just throw down beers with me dubstep, tho going outside for a cig is crap.......... but thats how it is.

in NYC weve had the smoking ban for it seems like forever now...
and def the main #1 wack bullshit angle which was immediately apparent was that we couldnt smoke herbs in the club anymore...
and that def changed the vibes considerably...
so now after a few years, this is whats happened...
i dunno if it is a giant backfire in teh governments face, or just a loophole slip through the cracks type thing, but back before the smoking ban it was really nervous smokin tree on the street... a cypher on the block didnt look right.. if you were just standing on the street with heads, or even alone, smoking, there was a good chance that police would roll on you...
nowadays not so much... as long as you are kinda in a area that has clubs & bars, it is completely normal to see a group of people smoking, which in turn has made it ALOT safer to smoke tree on the streets of NYC (*disclaimer* still be carefull, & dont blame me if you end up in teh bing)
so they pushed us onto the street, and now smoking on the street isnt as suspect as it once was.... i dunno if this is a benefit per se, but its def the positive that ive noticed, despite the huge negative of not being able to just burn in the spot....
also........ there ARE spots you can still smoke in... they WILL start slowly emerging as owners get over the fear of tickets...
in my neighborhood in Queens, all the pubs (there are ALOT of them in Sunnyside) have a system set up... where if the smoking police hit one of the spots, they just have a telephone call network and all warn each other to hide the ashtrays etc.. and when one spot gets busted in the network, they all chip down to pay the fine...
but yeah... that doesnt really help me blaze spliff in the dance..
the only real solution is to get the night so packed that it reaches the tipping point where people just start smoking and the bouncers really cant do anything.....
and thank god for the few spots that say fuck it to the law.. (apparently, the smokin police get off work at 11pm, so............ yeah lol)
and burn tree on the street, it doesnt look strange anymore..

this has been a real silver lining in the whole smoking ban fiasco for me - so many bars, club, pubs, restaurants etc where you would've never dreamed of smoking inside or out or anywhere near before the ban but now you can just stand a bit downwind of the ciggie smokers and blaze one off.[/quote]

also it has led to more "jump-up style" tunes to keep people inside, and also to stop the dj himself aching for a spliff you often get straight mixing from one tune to another with no "breathe" time and a lack of eg second drops etc as discussed in another thread.
Whistla touched on this but does anyone else feel that the actual atmosphere of the music has been affected?
I think he may be on to something.

i had the lazer light girl come over and gank my roach at the dubwar/vexd show...funny thing was she was saying "you cant smoke this in here, take it outside or ill kick you out!!!" and there was some guy with dreds standing about 10ft from her hitting his bowl the entire time watching her and laffing his ass off as she was yelling at me, so i laffed with him, gave her the roach...and then went for a walk around the block to smoke a blunt for the next round

I always love sentences containing "ive given up drugs" and "beer in my hand" in the same sentence
