to be honest i think you can. i doubt many vegetarians don't eat meat just because they don't like it. it's all about ideological differences etc

I've actually got friends into direct actions for animal rights who are both vegans and they said that environmentally speaking, the eradication of the cow would be a good thing due to the greenhouse gases they create.

I must say, that although I do still occassionally eat meat, they've never told me not to and given me the facts without preaching at me, and to be honest that's winning me over far more than some of the folks chucking red paint at macdonalds and screaming "murderers" at them.

It's not genocide unless the aim or accidental effect is to wipe out an entire species, which may be true for some fish species, but is more like an ongoing sustainable slaughter (I use sustainable loosely but there is emphasis on the breeding too for the next generation to massacre).

i don't think he's saying cows should be wiped out, but if there wasn't the insanely large (unnaturally large) population of cows needed for the meat industry the planet would be better. less methane so less greenhouse effect not to mention less deforestation needed for all the cattle to graze

raising animals for food is definitely harmful to the environment this is true. there are all kinds of reasons for it.

the entire notion of blaming "greenhouse gasses" (which are now being revealed to not exist) on cows is ridiculous

it's not blaming it entirely on them i'm sure, but they must have at least some impact? and what evidence is there that greenhouse gases don't exist? or is it just that greenhouse gases aren't entirely to blame for global warming?
