If too many people get involved then it could take all bloody year before your turn in choosing comes around.

Good Point. Maybe we should do multiple movies a week. Nothing out of hand like one a day, but I think alot of us could handle two or three. Maybe not every week... hmmm. How bout one movie a week, except for one week a month where we have multiple movies?

Or maybe have a new movie every three days or so?

not sure i want to be buying 2 or 3 new DVDs every week...plus if we're going to chat shit about them properly we'll need a good 5 days :D

what about animation, are we going to include any of that?

I was thinking more about renting... didnt think about ppl buying 'em. Another good point. I was thinking this is a good reason to finally sign up for Netflix.

And I say most definatly animation should be included! As long as its a proper movie and not an exteneded episode of a series kinda thing.

i don't think the number of members should be limited, at the end of the day its about experiencing the taste of another individual.. who may in-fact open our eyes up to a whole other view.. So having your turn to choose a movie isn't that important.. watching and discussing what ever film is.

And yes animation is included.. many great films come in the animated variety.

Its obvious that we are going to be watching some rubbish amongst the gems but thats no bad thing. Even the worst of films have some good scenes.

If we can get the club organised and get members together does anyone think its possible to get in contact with a rental site and see if we can get some sort of discount if we all sign up together?

Fair enough but there must be some kind of order, maybe draw up a roster next week. Pull out names out of a hat kind of thing.

Maybe stop people joining next week for a couple of days. Set up the roster then new members get added to the bottom of the list as and when they join.

I'm in. sign me up Grand'daddy

Already member of blockbuster online so have a pretty steady stream of movies being delivered weekly anyhow.

Dunno if anyone's suggested it but ontop of the weekly 'watching at home' how about linking with a pub someplace in town and see about hi-jacking their projector for the night. Do this maybe monthly or even bi-monthly.. make a mini event out of it..
Better a king for a night, than a schmuck for a lifetime.
