No more drunkenly slapping myself in the face while people point recording equipment at me.

I'll keep it to the privacy of my own home.

Unless you're looking to get on FM, hit up dubstep.fm

not bothered really if it's FM or streamed but to be honest my mixings not that great so was thinking more like local radio. there's a community radio station just starting up here so was thinking of trying for that. hopefully be more of an emphasis on just putting on good tunes rather than having super tight mixing

depends what the standard on dubstep.fm's like i suppose. it's not a station i've listened to really, will check it out. but i doubt i'd be good enough. give it some time maybe

Have a listen for a while and see, Ive found the best way to get better is playing in a situation like that, where you cant stop a mix and try again and have to just plow through a bad one... on dubstep.fm we're pretty forgiving about the mixing so long as the tunes are good.

very true, best way to get better at something is to through yourself in at the deep end. sink or swim. just hope i swim :)

yeah will have a listen when i get home. guess i have to be able to put together a fairly good demo to have a chance though? there many slots available?

Yeah, you'll need a demo...

the cool thing about the station is you book your show weekly, so if you want to you can book it for months in advance, or each week. You can move your timeslot around until you find a good one that works for you, and if you need a week off, no worries, just dont book one that week.

need to pick a dj name too, been trying to for ages but it's so fucking difficult. everytime i come up with anything i like i find someone else with the same name

it's got that whole student obsession with badgers attached to it. never put any thought to my forum name just picked badger because i've always liked badgers, and i've regretted it, wish i could change it but i can't.

suppose it's the name i've got now so could stick with it and i guess a lot of djs are probably never fully happy with their name, just a necessary evil to have a way of tagging yourself

I have about a dozen new year's resolutions but i'd be happy to forget the rest of them for another year if I could just lay off the smack. Not gonna happen though cos i'd need to take about a month off work
