its sad that you would give up on a genre cos of a forum, long live dubstep and drum and bass!Stenchman wrote:this is precisely why i have given up on drum and bass.
Dubstep according to DOA
why? They were posting a pisstake thread about 'Dubstep Awards' with pisstake categories, so I decided to take the piss and post a flyer for our actual Awards nite - it's all tongue in cheek mate, there may be a few haters but at the end of the day DOA is full of more sarcastic neeks than any other dance music forum, you gotta give as good as you get.dubluke wrote:yeah sure, i'm not being a dick about it, but surely posting up the flyer in a thread cussing dubstep is a bit of a provocative act?

serious mate, don't stress about a few Dogs hating on dubstep - between them, Dogs hate on everything.
the guy who posted the video made that tune, it's the pingu themetune loldubluke wrote:hehe, it is an extreme example, but still, the point remainsEsfandyar wrote:yo dubluke, that had to have been some of the worst music I have ever heard. That sounds like the ICP of drum and bass.

They'll probably forget all about it when they have some massive Dev Paradox / Photek / dnb isn't as good as it used to be / Pendulum related drama some time in the next twenty minutes.dubluke wrote: anyway, fuck it, like rekordah says i'm sure there won't be mods vs. rockers business, D.O.A. can just be ignored as one long petty argument if you know what i mean

sometimes i reckon this forum needs more self parody like that.

Yeah, i do read SNH while i'm at work but I'm talking about parodying dubstep like the above quote does without actually cussing it off (i'm all for ripping into things but doing that around these parts usually ends up in fruitless debate).
I agree with the quote from DoA tho, so many shit names/intentional mispellings in dstep these days (whoops, can of worms etc, etc).

I think it has something to do with mild retardation.ThinKing wrote:ah don't even go there mate, it's narrowminded people who only listen to one type of music getting pissy cos they feel that 'their' music is being threatened.
I honestly can't think of any other reason why dubstep gets so much hate on DOA. There are regular trance love-ins (:6:) but dubstep gets a kicking on a monthly basis.

Be careful. You know you have to toe the line around here or else you're out.DJ Sinc Vision wrote:Yeah, i do read SNH while i'm at work but I'm talking about parodying dubstep like the above quote does without actually cussing it off (i'm all for ripping into things but doing that around these parts usually ends up in fruitless debate).
