A bit off-topic, I know, but is this standard DnB these days? I've never really been into that scene. There is som really good stuff out there, I know, but holy shit, Morning Light is not among that!!!!!!
I would like to hear the remix, as whatever has been done to the original, it must be an improvement....
(I reckon it's ok to badmouth them after that letter)
anyway, I really thought the original is some of the worst shit I've heard in ages. It was a big hit on the DnB scene?

I would also like a copy, if you have one. what can they possibly do anyway? I think a lot of the music that is closely associated with dubstep ei, dnb, hip-hop, breakcore, breaks. Owe a lot to being able to sample and recycle. wether or not the sample is cleared, People need to express themselves. a police officer isn't sifting through your belongings yet. So let the sampling take place as long as we can get away with it. sampling is an instrument. A lot of people have said the music industry is definitely not what it use to be, we have to tear it down and make a new one

The Concord Dawn track Raining Blood uses a riff which is similar to, but not the same as Raining Blood by Slayer (Evans riff has a different feel to fit with the 4/4 dnb beat).
I think if your gonna remix Morning Light you've gotta make it fucken absolutely storming because that track is one of the biggest dnb anthems of all time, therefore the dubstep version has to be one of the biggest dubstep anthems of all time to do the original justice... my 2cents.

the first two notes are removed in the dnb version

everyone add them and spam them up. now.
I'll upload the bootleg to the mans server and host it up for anyone that wants it. We can't have shitheels like these pissing on our cheerios.
However, that being said... they have every right to be stnuc, so long as all sounds used by them in their own production were cleared samples, or original noise they produced. Their property rights definitely extend further than our right to appropriate and potentially benefit from. If youu garnered a booking based on your productions, you'd technically have profited--either monetarily or with notoriety. In either case, they'd be able to sue you for assumed damages. Not that they'd win or get any damages, but on principle, they could.
They are some stnuc though.

Jesus you guys are behaving like a bunch of sour school kids over this.
Concord have the right to do whatever they want with their music, as anyone who creates original compositions does, so why are a lot of your panties all in a twist over this shit?
Besides like me and Phil-O said, the remix in question doesn't do the OG justice at all so unless someone comes up with a better bootleg, who cares?
This isnt a dig at you Tryptomatik cuz im really feeling your other tunes. I just thought this one needed some more work

Mate.....
two things - it's always a risk you take when you remix someone else's stuff, with or without their permission. They may like it or they may hate it so much they take it personal. TBH, They have every right to behave how they like, about their music, maybe the way they responded could have been nicer, but unless they liked your remix so much they wanted to put it out, they probably have to come off that hard and unappreciative (to discourage others maybe?).
second thing, I reckon they did you a favour, listening to the remix and the other stuff on your myspace, I think the remix was far from your best tune. Your other stuff is warm and rich and pretty facking good, while in my opinion the remix sounds a bit cold.
You don't need to remix Concord Dawn's stuff for free, you've got far more "proper dubstep" (lol @ "pay someone to do a better one") on your hands already.
you can always remix my stuff if you like

and i'll happily play some of yer tunes on my radio show in NZ..
