Next round went out...This tune has been getting support from the locals here in Vancouver and is receiving a warm welcome on the floor.

Yes EnD, was cool chatting with you too geez...
red j, thanks, check your mail.
agus, we used fl studio to compose on, then multitrack recorded via korg zero 8 in to ableton on my mac. We do all of our own mixdowns and mastering, which I admit has been a long and tremulous journey, teaching myself how to engineer properly, all the way from source to final product.
I can give you an idea of what the mastering stack is like in Wavelab if you're interested...
- 2 band eq with sharp rolloff at 30Hz
- Multiband compressor for situational compression (Waves one is sick)
- Roger Nichols Frequalizer for spot eqing rogue frequencies
- Oxford Inflator
- Waves L3
- BBE Sonic Maximizer
Basically between the L3 limiter, Sonic maximizer and Inflator, the trick is to optimize your loudness by transient shaping and still keeping nice dynamics in your source. I'm pretty sure I have the order all muxed up since I'm on my work puter at the moment, but yeah that's the jist of it.
Peace

To be honest, I dont think ive heard anything from you yet hexadecibel that hasn't been 24 carat freaking gold (wide angled lens is straight up one of my favourite tunes ive heard in a whiiiile). You've definitely got your own sound, but it doesn't seem to encompass anything in particular. Kind of skweee-ish? (pretty sure i just made up a word there, just trying to say "bleep-funky" or something I guess) with absoloutely sick percussion, and a general feeling of complete control. As a slowly converted breaks head I cant get enough of the breakstep edge to your stuff either. Cant go wrong with your tunes either cure, its a brutal partnership if i ever did hear one!

Heard someone describe a tune the other day as sounding like a well built machine, with all parts working together perfectly. Definitely this!!
Mastering sounds lovely my end (although I could'nt really say for certain about any sub bass going on, only got a pair of headphones at the moment. Decent ones, but still never makes up for the punch of a sub)
Would absoloutely batter a 320 of this one if its available?
