Yo, I just found this site today. I'm from Madison, WI and am moving to Chicago next Monday. You CHI guys need to hit me up and get me down with the scene down there. I actually got a lil crew of about 3 dubsteppers up here and we've been gettin to play out more that you'd think. But I'm transplanting to CHI for school and I don't know anybody really.

whoah, this post is pretty old but I felt the need to add to it just for the record. I am from Chicago, totally loving dubstep right now and buying lots of records. Hopefully I will be able to spin them soon. I have been really into the digital divide dubstep nights @ cafe lura. They are just so chill and the perfect place to play this music. keep on steppin chicago

hey this is DJ Geist, up in champaign Illinois (2 hrs from Chicago - U of Illinois)

mainly a dnb dj (for over 7 years now), getting into dubstep as well.

Don't know about many dubstep events, but at our local Haloween party my friend Bozak dropped a cool dubstep set (there's a link to the recording of the set at www.ucdnb.com - under past events - electric voodoo)

also I'll be spinning dnb, but then also some dubstep either earlier or much later at an all night, 2 room event going down this coming weekend (Sat Nov 4) Click on this link for more info:

Yeah Chicago had a few good Dubstep nights at Cafe Lura and then it just stopped. I've been trying to get something new off the ground but it's kinda hard with no money or connections.

I'm playing in Milwaukee this coming Friday though, if anybody is interested in checkin that out hit me up on AIM @ mnmlefrt and I'll sort ya out with the details.
