A funeral directors + burial is too much of a coincidence imo, unless he planned that of course. But hey im know to be a pessimist.

Respect. I'm glad to see an end put to the enigma hype. Even though I loved the mystery.

Hopefully everyone will simply soak up the sounds from now on =)

yea :? makes me angry as I dont see how it benefits them in any way....

This is still a big big moment though, I think the whole feeling of mystery and how such a critically acclaimed artist remained unknown for so long was incredible, it was exciting you know?! It still is tbh cos now one of "our own"so to speak could be about to walk away with the mercury prize. I know ronnie size did it, but fuck him! lol for someone doing something a lot of us lot are doing (working in our bedrooms getting work when we can etc..) and creating something that is so thought provokingly miles ahead of anyone else in depth than in any other genre at the moment is fucking incredible man.... FUCKIN SICK!!!

Spoke to my mate who edits the sun earlier, he recons tomorrows story is gonna be along the lines of Gordon Smart claiming that he has narrowed it down, and can confirm that Burial is definately not Norman Cook or AphexTwin.
Good to see that he's on the ball. One up to Burial me thinks. We should have started a disinfo campaign on here though. Did anyone else phone up?

but ye it was very irritating to see something i dislike a lot focus on something i like a lot, but ye ratings to burial for gettin one over them stnuc lol.

To be honest, a 'mystery artist' is always going to be a red rag to a bull as far as the meeja is concerned. It's like going up to a five year old and telling them that you know a secret about their best friend but you're not going to tell them. With the benefit of hindsight he'd maybe have been better off just saying "yeah, I'm Burial, my name is ______ (actually, I've forgotten it already), I'm from south london", and then just not doing any publicity / interviews / photoshoots / live appearances.

But that's hindsight. Hopefully the excitement of 'mystery artist revealed' will die off fairly soon and he'll just be left in peace to get on with his tunes.

Bit of a shame. Was chatting just the other day how its strange in a good way that nobody knew who he was. Had to be the sun who mad a big deal out of it and turn it into some sort of manhunt. I felt the dubstep heads were always curious as to who burial was but also wernt bothered cause as the man himself said it's all about the music.

Big up Burial.

Big up Burial all day long. Makes music I can listen to walking through town at 3am and be in my own little world. Shame it's had to come to this seeing as he didn't want his identity revealed, but that's today's world for you.

Anyway, big up Will. (Yes Will. "Burial" is way too formal, Will will have to do!)
