That was hot, sweaty, and beautiful - everything I'd hoped my first dubstep night would be. I'm completely sober and still buzzing from the vibe.
Pinch dropped every big tune I've wanted to hear on a club system (truly, selection in a Darwinian sense - survival of the heaviest), Daedelus impressed the crowd with his live act (you know you're on to a good thing when people are simultaneously enthusiastically skanking and craning their necks to see what you're doing), and although we had to leave before Distance was more than a couple of mixes deep, I've no doubt he killed it. Then brought it back to life, and killed it again. I wish we could have gotten there earlier and stayed till close, but that drive is killer.
Big up staypuft for making this night happen, and big up everyone I met. It's always a pleasure to put faces and handshakes with screen names.
San Francisco is in for a treat tonight!

That was amazing!!!
Yes, Pinch had perfect selection - lots of tunes I wanted to hear (I Remix!!!!! Oh my god.......), I felt so lucky to be right up front, $2 PBR in hand, hearing the massive sounds for the first time in Los Angeles. Some guy jogged up and rewound a track, crowd went crazy!!!
Everyone was feelin it. The vibe was goin off, you could just see the amazement in some people's faces. And the bass was so good that if you were holding one of those metal PBR cans, it vibrated in your hand along with the basslines! The sound system was very clean and bassy and that location was perfect!
Such a surprise when I heard this 3 days ago - my eyes popped out of my head and all I could say was "Holy fucking shit! Damn! Yes!!! Yes!!"... Had to leave during Daedulus's set because of work at 8AM in Costa Mesa (feelin hungover right now......

) but I know Distance and others will be back 'cause Dubstep is here to stay.
I'll keep doin my thing to push the scene, I've been playing out dubstep for a few months now at "Nova Express" and on my radio show, and the vibe is always electric. Big up!
