Slightly unrelated but still related in a way. NCT piss me the fuck off....Diss04 wrote:i got threatened with a criminal record because i tried to explain that my oyster card was broken. i was 12. bus drivers can naff off
Friday night on my way to Rubberdub I got on the 79 to go down there, beeped my bus card on the reader thing and the bus driver asks to see my card (Why? I don't know, I use this card all the time, I pay for it, bus drivers aren't really that bothered as to seeing if you're actually you) So I show him my card....At this point this bus driver starts to be the biggest prick in existence. My photo has faded slightly because of a small plastic wallet that the Travel Centre gave me to put my card in and because of moisture etc it ended up rubbing some of the ink off. So the bus driver decides to say that it in fact isn't me, nor is it my card, so I get out my bank card, NI card, everything in my wallet to prove that it's me, but he's still not having any of it. So I tell him I pay for this card, I'm paying for a service on these buses which he's not letting me have because he's in a shit mood, exchanged a few choice words with him and told him I thought he was a bellend etc, got off the bus and just caught the next one (with no problems at all)
Surely if haven't my photo fade slightly was such a fucking issue, when I go to renew it at the Travel Centre they should be all like "You're photo's faded, you need a new card" (Which they'd probably make me pay for anyway) and sort it all out there and then to avoid me having hassle on buses seeing as I pay for this shitty service.
And talking about shitty services, they carry putting on up the price for the fare, using excuses about improving the services by extending the routes and such. I catch the N77 home which goes to Bulwell bus station, which used to be an extremely direct route, which now they've changed to go further into the estates that it goes past in most cases doubling back on itself which I really don't see any point in. Surely if you're going down there you can get off at a stop and cross a fucking road with no traffic at 3am? So now they've added another 20 minutes of travel for me to get home by going through an area where no one actually gets off anyway (from the 5 times I've been on it since they've made the change in late September)
And they're never on time.
Sorry, I needed to rant that somewhere.
