FL5-FL8 / some Ableton Live occasionally.
FUCK THAT, nothing wrong with FL if your used to it and you know how to use it, Skream and Hatcha have both said they use it still, as well as many others. Hmmmmmmm.
It may have some limits but if u use it well, haters can eat one.

Sorry Ben in deepest Dorset - I can't help you there. I have Logic on my Mac, but that comes at a price ... you get what you pay for.BEN? wrote:right so cheers for the link, but which programs are the best? there are a lot of choices...cooch wrote:No probs Futunt - us mac peeps need to keep spreading the wordfutures_untold wrote:Great link!cooch wrote:http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/audio/

I can only suggest you read the blurb on the Apple site for each product and try a few out. Sure, there are 300 apps listed and it's hard to know where to start. But you may find that one of them does just what you need, if you can find it.
Free software has it's drawbacks. Limited in features, support may be difficult, and can be buggy.
Depending on what you want to do, Audacity is well established so give that a try. Garageband may be pre-installed on your Mac too, but I can't recommend it, really.
Unless you are 7.

but the bottom line is that it's made by cakewalk and anyone that has been using computers to make music for more than 10 years know that cakewalk has always been on the top of their game
just wish sonar and project 5 had some legs
in the end...
the result is a finished tune
your ears and soundcard play a larger role in the quality of your mixdown than your sequencer
FL is not made by cakewalk. Cakewalk distributed it for a bit but to my knowledge they had nothing to do with development of it.
I think it's sad that people feel the need to justify their tool of choice. Many of my favorite tunes have been made with FL. i think a talented producer could crank out a tight tune with almost any of the modern apps.
Personally, I am using Sonar 7 PE (will likely upgrade to 8 soon). I have used Acid for years and still use it if i need to crank something out quick.
