The thing is, the positive symbolic reprecussions of Obamas appointment FAR outweigh anything any president could acheive through policy imo.

Word. The mere fact that the US people have appointed someone that the rest of the world didn't already think was a moron *before* he got into office means that the rest of the world should have a better opinion of them.

It's not, but the fact that the US public have voted in pretty decent numbers to show the world they want a well spoken, well read and thoughtful man instead of the same old same old is a good sign to the rest of the world.

Even Clinton wasn't that sellable to the rest of the world as a normal human being - far too easy for the press to stereotype him as a simple, sex-obsessed Southerner rather than the diplomatic giant that he really was.

It seems like Obama has a bit of a head start on international relations. He's got 4 years to screw it up!!

I was the opposite. Up untill 9/11 I was very anti conspiracy theories, always have been. I thought they were just for people who wanted to feel like they knew somehting everyone else didnt, just attention seeking, wishing thinking bollocks for people who need to get out more. i dont give a fuck. i know something bads gonna happen. hes just a face to help some people have hope. and putting a black man as president, sadly enough is probly the only change we will see for yrs. of course hes gonna be taking action now-and for the firs thalf of the new yr. but i dont honestly ever see him doing much of what he said.

if he proves me wrong, then i promise ill buy some kind of obama tee or some other bullshit marketing tool he created...and i will wear it out somewhere. and thats not something id EVER do even if i supported a candidate or president.

im all for getting the clintons back in office. how the fuck did she lose against obama!? really....

and the 106 yr old lady basically only is happy that hes president bc shes seen segregation to now a black president. but what does that even mean. of course we have made progress. this country isnt any longer made that way. we have been making progress to get rid of slavery and racism and the list goes on for yrs. so big woop. we get a black president. the black communities think they have someone they can relate to....well....what do you think we related to bush? or even clinton? no it was not about relating to a fucking president. its about the president and what he does. he is not representation for the people of america bc how is he supposed to represent the millions of americans!? not possible. im white, am i supposed to not support him or be able to relate to him!?

i honestly think this is just silliness. im sick of hearing "oh this is the biggest chgange in how long and this is it. hes like god at this point"....the only reason there will be talks about this in the future is a) you are a president.....did we suddenly forget about abe lincoln just cause the country is full of now thicker fatter americans!? no....b) its history. no fuckin shit it will be in books!.....c) we had the shittiest asshole president ever. anyone was better than him!.....d) yeah hes black! and!? what did we never see a black person in charge before!? forgot about the other black representatives and leaders and mayors and what not!? word. a black man finally ran for presidency......

DUDE, Jim Fetzer has become a huge problem for the 9/11 truth movement. His original scholars group split completely, when Jim Fetzer started running around claiming that laser beams from space brought down the towers. Fetzer also continues to promote Judy Wood, and Morgan Reynolds. All of these characters continue to receive mainstream media exposure and they are talkin about highly speculative ideas about space weapons and fake videos, while IGNORING THE HARD EVIDENCE. Please I ask anyone who has already watched a Fetzer vid, to do more research on him and read this. If you are going to get into 9/11 truth, you are gonna experience disinformation which u must sift through...here is an example, please if anything, listen to the radio where Fetzer debates Dr. Steven Jones (it is quite clear who is talking about tangible facts and information here).......and by the way...ive seen fetzer speak, he earned lots of cred in teh movement...then started doing stuff like in the link below. Yea of course he is not the saviour, but I have never seen a more cynical and open time in America. Even the left are starting to get critical of Obama, which is generally a rarity. Let's take peoples new cynicism towards corrupt gov't and drive for change to a heavy level of spreading quality information and continue to discredit the people taking away our rights and countries (thats right, many countries are getting more and more rights removed because of 9/11 and the war on terror. this is a worldwide problem).
