yo, I'm pretty new to prod... so haven't played with samplers much. Do the rules allow for using things like simpler/sampler in ableton live? Also am I allowed to chuck a dist VST over the stop of stuff?
not sure if i'll actually get anything together, but enjoying the pressure to bust out and learn something a bit different.

i used the sample packs for a track and if the winner dont mind i might try release the two tracks on my net label. see how it goes tho.

The contest is usually just for respect and to get the artist some exposure, if you look at past winners...I think every single one of them is now quite a established person in the scene.. I wouldn't say just because of this contest but it makes people keep a eye on you.

if u dont want it released on the net label then no probs, if u do then specify in the PM and we'll take it from there.

Had bare "Windows is evil" issues with my computer involving a complete hard drive wipe to fix it....
So been put back a couple of days...but well on the way with this one. I intend to finish this tune this time round!!
All praise be to external hard drives!!!

It's astonishing to see how many computers have trouble when it's time to deal with deadlines while producing a track... Not the first time I take part in that sort of "production comp", and each time a few computers burn.
I think it would be a good idea to find the common denominators in order to protect ourselves when we take part in a production comp. Scares me

Fixed mine this monring so back to the canvas !
