will your remix of one blood, one source ever be released? its wickly haunting, deep tune.

in terms of producing your albums, how was making repercussions different from doing my demons? did you enjoy the process less/more for either one?
I have a few guitars, I mainly use a 7 string esp and an Ibanez. I also have a Dean and a 5 String bass. The pedals I use are made by Digiteck, I think the one I have is an RP7 something like that.

Yeah One blood remix will be coming out.

The processes were quite similar. As soon as I make a track I know whether its an album track or a single.

On both albums I didnt spend any set amount of time constructing them, I just built tracks as normal, but put aside what I thought to be the more intelligent stuff.

I wanted to make albums you can listen to and with every play notice different things.

Repercussions was slightly easier to make, just because I had progressed technically since the first album. I took me ages to mix the tracks down for My Demons.

I did spent a lot more time on detail when it came to Repercussions.

I stand corrected. It was Scorn in Napalm Death. Still the metal influence is obviously there right?
I was in a few metal bands, but im a bit to young to have been in Napalm death.

favourite Metal band has to be Pantera. I have a few favourite albums.
Sepultura / Choas A.D, Pantera / Vulgar display of Power. Fear Factory Soul of a new machine and Demanufacture.

I was wondering, what percentage of your own tracks are you really proud of. Do you ever worry about the music release and how it may be received?
Ever make anything outside of dubstep?
Im proud of most of them, Im just glad people like what im making!

No I never worry about what people think when im making a tune. Obviously its nice when a tune gets a big response but its not my intention at the time of building.

I would make stuff outside of Dubstep if it came naturally.

The Night Vision and Memory Loss basslines are my favorite basslines period in all music ever, lol

do you have any other tunes that have basslines like this? and any way you could explain a little more about them other than using albino?

lol i understand that you dont wanna say much, but all i can gather about it is that its got both high pass and low pass filters, and a phaser

They make it better in India tho.

Nice thread btw. thanks Distance.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

What do you think about Reason? Have you ever used it or was it never a question of going elsewhere once finding Cubase?

What would you consider as basic essentials for a studio ie the bare minimum for making tracks on a budget?

Cheers :)

How do you go about mixdowns? Do you mix at the end or mix as you go?

Is that a comb filter I smell in night visionäs bass?

Im afraid there is no interesting story behind Distance, I just popped into my head.

50hz

I chop up a lot of live drum loops and breaks, then with the slices create my own loops.

1 - what metal bands are you into?

2 - what was it about dubstep that made u want to be involved?

3 - if u diveded making a track into percentages of the time it took you to write it, what would they be?

for example 10% arrangement , 30% mixing down ect...

^^^ if that makes any sense

and your drums sound absoultly amazing in all of your tracks, they sound so real. big up on that :D
Check out a previous post in this thread I go through bands I was into.

I was involved in this scene before it was called dubstep and before it was a proper scene. I was djing garage at that time, and people like wookie Oris J, Zinc and Menta were making garage with a darker edge, things just evolved from there. I began producing around the time that Said The Spider was released.

40% experimenting 30% arangemnt 30% Mixdown
