I didn't even bother to read that cause it's just a huge block of text not separated by anything.

Either way, what part of PAYING YOUR ARTISTS do you not understand?
not to be a dick...but if you own three different companies, you figure you would have some business writing experience. Paragraph breaks!

If my tunes weren't on this album illegally I would probably think this is a pretty funny joke. How can you call producers out telling them they are unprofessional when you put out tracks that you don't own? Show us the contracts. I never sent one back. I never even gave finals. All dood has is demo 320's. If you where a professional label wouldn't you try to contact me and try to acquire 24 bit mixdowns for mastering? This shit in insane.

All of this makes me nervous. What is next? Someone wants to start a label so they just pick 320's off of the dubs section and releases them? Why not, who is going to stop you?

No matter what you wanna say.... you are selling peoples work without their permission.

A label should be in constant contact with their artists about releasing material.

As far as I'm concerned, you are burnt - black listed

You got a lot of balls to say you are professional. Con-artists consider themselves professional businessmen as well.

You're a fuckin crook, theres a difference

yea thats pretty fucked... i know what it feels like to get ripped off like this..

i only ever made 1 tune that was half way decent. and it was released without written consent or a singed contract to a label that doesnt pay. i spoke with other artists on that label and they have yet to be paid as well...

the name of my tune is DopeLabs - Destroyer

and im going to provide it to you for free since im not going to get paid for it anyways.

you can google it up to make sure you dont get fooled by the same label.

Im not going to judge anyone in this situation but the fact is...

Use common sense when looking for a label to release your tunes. Do your research BEFORE you send them anything at all. Contact some of the current artists of the label and see if they are happy with their label, if the label is professional and organized, and if its honest.

PROLIFIC wrote:I would like to first state that you are by far one of the most unprofessional artists I have ever dealt with. You should have le me contact you personally as I requested instead of going on a public forum and airing out something that could have been handled behind closed doors as it should be. The truth or fact of the matter is ATREUS my DS label VP handed me tunes for an album release which contained your two compositions along with the others that were on this release. It was stated to me that all of these specific compositions were contractually agreed upon and that is why they were released. Obviously somewhere in between when you gave him the tunes and they were given to me and they were released there was some type of miscommunication which had nothing to do with myself personally occured which has lead to this situation. Atreus shortly after the release of this album went his own direction with adversion. FYI I have releases on my label with the biggest artists in turntablism/underground hiphop/dnb/dubstep/electro and my reputation as a professional business man speaks for itself not only as a DJ and mc with the global tours I have done but also as a label CEO. You want to hit up Klever, Crayz walz, Sabac, Goretex, Louis Logic, Raiden, Gein, Infiltrata/12th Planet, the list goes on they are going to tell you you're acting like a baby and will tell you bottomline PRO and Foulplay are by far one of the most professional groups and are going to take of you in any case and you should always be professional in dealing with him if you want the same in return. Looking at your distribution NO offense but it looks like you have your product on a couple of Dj based purchase sites? Now if I was an up and coming artist much like yourself I would appreciate the fact that a label just put my tunes up for sale via I.O.D.A. on over 300 online retails stores and its getting promoted on blogs and podcasts globally not to mention the dj support our label has as a collective. You need to get a clue man, here at Foul Play we are playing chess not checkers we aren't on a few fischer price ass sites we have distribution locked on another level as far as digital/hardcopy. Your messages you sent me on myspace were put in context from a 3 year old using profanity and threats. I am a professional business man I run three business and my label is one of them and have never had a problem like this. You will get paid for your tunes and as far as I'm concerned we will no longer be doing business with you. For all of you that have posted believing that FPR steals peoples tunes and sells them you should do some research about our group our releases the artists we work with and make a collective decisive decision on how we deal with our artists and go out of our way to put on new talent and push music for the right reasons. I don't have time for egos I have time for hard working artists that want to progress with their production and music and have the right guy pushing their product to all the right places. I have no further comment on this situation. Any future releases you will see from us which trust me they are massive will not have anything to do with artists who lack communication skills and want to take stabs at people they don't know and don't follow specific protocols in dealing with situations like these. Primadonna whiny producers who act like their shit don't stink WILL not go as far in this business as they could if they had some type of people skills. GET a publicist it will help you a lot in your future endeavours. If anyone wants to contact me they can leave their phone number on my AIM PROLIFICJUNGLIST or email Foulplayrecords@gmail.com. I apologize to all of you had to deal with this situation.

Thank you for your time,

FPR
Just to clarify, I never called you names or used profanity in my myspace messages. i believe you'd be hard pressed to find a three year old who can conduct themselves with as much diction as I did.

here are copies of my myspace messages to back that up:

------------------------------------------------------

Hello, my name is D___ L___ and I produce dubstep under the name Cringer. I noticed today that you have put out a dubstep compilations entitled Elite Forces
http://www. tunes4u. org/Album/2615850/VA/Foul_Play_Dubstep_Elite_Forces_Ep/mp3/
which includes some of my material that I have not authorized you to sell, and is in fact, signed to another label.

I am hereby requesting that you remove all incidences of my tracks on this EP online immediately.

Thank You in advance
D L aka Cringer

-AND-

we can discuss what we need to over myspace message. please remove the following songs from your compilation and your catalog:
Cringer - Gate B5
Cringer - Gate B5 (abZ remix)

regards
D

now.....how professional is a company who has not even once personally spoken to an artist that they are handling? I've never met you, but I've heard a lot of stories about you and your franchises. and the simple fact that there are at least three artists on this release who feel their material has been put out by your company illegitimately seems to stand in my corner. I gave you more than enough of a chance to correct the situation before I brought it here. you're only words back to me were "SEND ME YOUR NUMBER ASAP"

who's the professional?

listen, you've dug your hole. why not try to make some amends and simply pull the EP down from all retail locations. I'm not even worried that this EP is available for free download on countless torrent tracker sites. (trust me, i looked)

I'm not trying to flame you. There were obviously mistakes that happened, why not accept your part of the responsibility of said mistakes? We can let bygones be bygones or you can conduct yourself with an air that is indicative of a mere thug.

I could really care less about how many hundreds of online digital music retailers you and your company have outlets through. I'm no prima-donna and I'm no up-and-comer. I am also not interested in defending myself here and i believe most would consider me in the right.

hope this clears somethings up.

He put it up for free too. What a way to earn a fanbase. After they spent the 13 they realize they could have just got it for free somewhere else. Come on who does that? This was a deliberate dick move on his part.
