Just trying to be useful to the original thread poster. I've thus provided starter instructions on how to make the sound, and my opinion of the sound itself.

Just saw this and thought it was pertinent.
KnobGoblin wrote:TBH i think rusko type bass sounds are more reliant on the basic oscillator shape and tuning than the distortion. Load a few maelstroms into a combinator and use some of the more esoteric waveforms at many different octave settings, and use that as the starting point instead of a few detuned saws or whatnot
Lol at 3 pages of waste.... Mwahahahahahaa!

Brutal Midrange Electro wobble might well make kids dance, but it just makes me cringe.
Even DSF has an Emoticon that discribes my reaction when I hear mid range wobble.
Protect my ears from hearing damage, bow my head in shame and cringe....

I ain't claiming to be big, just over emphasizing my point about this kind of sound.

That electrical noise can be achieved by sending ungrounded vinyl hum through an overdrive pedal.

bleep bloop the modulator with a double capacitor LFO-o-tron 9000 so it makes a "cack" sound

fancy calling a tune so rhythmically perfect as simple city 'crap'. It's so fucking ignorant. And ive heard this on the subdub vs exodus soundsystem and it wasnt painful at all. Discouraging people from exploring a certain type of sound just because you don't personally like it is a bit daft imo

hahaha innit..
That tune smashes it and built so well - and mid ranging crap!? when half the people on here think bouncing a saw wave over and over with little tweaks deserves more respect than something all built through a synth!
I'm not much of a fan of hype dubstep but that tune is something special...
